PANT - Chapter 17
Chapter 17
Through the door, Su Wanxing's voice was exceptionally clear.
Seeing this, Shi Ning leaned close to the ear of a wide-eyed Su Tianxue and whispered, “It seems your house isn’t very soundproof.”
She spoke very softly, at a volume Su Wanxing definitely couldn’t hear.
Afraid her sister would find out, Su Tianxue didn’t dare speak and could only mouth the words: “Let go of me.” She was so angry at Shi Ning’s maneuver that her eyes were practically bulging.
Like a bratty kid asking for a beating, Shi Ning deliberately and slowly mouthed back two words: “I won’t.”
She was terribly wicked. Even at a time like this, her knee was still applying pressure.
And just applying pressure wasn’t enough.
It was as if a pile of sesame seeds had been placed in a mortar. Shi Ning held a special pestle, constantly pressing and grinding—grinding for dear life, as if determined to turn snow into water.
Su Tianxue’s scalp tingled, and the fine hairs all over her body stood on end. She clenched her teeth, stopping herself from making a sound. Shi Ning’s smug expression irritated her; she couldn’t stand it. Opening her mouth, she bit down on Shi Ning’s ear.
Caught off guard by the sudden counterattack, Shi Ning sucked in a sharp breath from the pain.
That sharp inhale, that cry of pain, was heard by Su Wanxing, who was waiting cautiously outside the door.
Su Wanxing frowned in suspicion. “Sister, are you asleep? What was that? Are you okay?”
Su Tianxue raised an eyebrow at Shi Ning. Seeing that the pain had made her stop, she shoved her away, making her fall back onto the bed.
Shi Ning landed with her legs apart, holding her ear. She touched it; it was bleeding a little.
Painful. It was fucking painful.
Su Tianxue didn’t open the door. She stood by the wall, straightening her clothes, then called out, “Not asleep. What is it?”
Su Wanxing asked worriedly, “Sister, what happened just now? I think I heard something.”
Su Tianxue feigned a yawn, deliberately making her voice sound sleepy. “It’s nothing. Shi Ning accidentally rolled off the bed.”
Su Wanxing was shocked. “Huh? Sister, why did you let her on your bed?!”
Su Wanxing was extremely worried. “Don’t you know that she-”
Shi Ning stopped playing dead. She spoke up lazily, “Hm? Don’t you know what about me?”
Hearing her voice, Su Wanxing was scared to death. “Why are you still awake?”
Shi Ning propped herself up on her hands, leaning back and looking up at Su Tianxue. She replied faintly, “I’m a person, not a dead pig. If I fall off the bed and cry out in pain, of course I’m going to wake up.”
Seeing her cooperate like this, Su Tianxue raised an eyebrow and relaxed her guard a little.
She said to the door, “Wanxing, go get some rest.”
Su Tianxue wanted to de-escalate the situation and quickly send her sister to bed to be done with it. But Shi Ning wouldn’t have it. She sat up abruptly and reached for the doorknob.
Su Tianxue stopped her. Shi Ning realized Su Tianxue didn’t want her to open the door. Su Tianxue shot her a look, then glanced at the bed, signaling for Shi Ning to get away from the door and sit on the bed.
But how could Shi Ning be so obedient? She was a person, not a dog raised by Su Tianxue.
She just had to cause trouble, as if she feared the world wasn’t chaotic enough.
Shi Ning insisted on opening the door, and Su Tianxue wouldn’t let her. The two of them nearly got tangled up again. The door rattled loudly, and Su Wanxing called out, extremely worried, “Sister, what’s wrong?”
It took some effort, and a thin sheen of sweat covered her temples before Shi Ning finally managed to pin the woman down. She covered Su Tianxue’s mouth to keep her from speaking, then raised her voice to answer, “Oh, it’s nothing. I wanted to open the door to see your cute face, little sister, so I could have a good night’s sleep. But it seems there’s a problem with the door. The lock is broken; it won’t open. What a shame.”
“Little sister, do you want to try opening it from the outside?”
Hearing Shi Ning’s words, Su Wanxing was so scared she ran off without another word, leaving behind a single sentence: “No, thanks!”
She felt that some things were better left for tomorrow, especially for a time when Shi Ning wasn’t around to talk to her sister.
As soon as she scurried away, Jiang Ningran, who had been feigning sleep on the sofa, slowly opened her eyes.
Jiang Ningran had heard every single one of Shi Ning’s roguish words clearly.
The sofa fabric was nearly torn by her fingertips. Jiang Ningran gripped it with immense force, her grip filled with hatred. Shi Ning is just like she was in the last life, she thought. Her wicked heart never changed, a leopard can’t change its spots. She’s still after my Wanxing.
This person was like an annoying piece of gum on a shoe. Even though she had found a way to avoid it before—by not letting Wanxing go to that mixer, by not letting her pass by that hotel, thus preventing her from meeting Shi Ning and starting anything…
But now, Shi Ning had appeared anyway, looking for all the world like she was trying to flirt with Su Wanxing.
In this life, her identity was even more troublesome—she had actually become Su Tianxue’s friend. Was Shi Ning friends with Su Tianxue from the start, or… had that person gotten smarter this life? Did she understand the principle of being in a favorable position to get what one wants? So, seeing that the previous plot hadn’t played out, she became friends with Su Tianxue to get an opportunity to meet Su Wanxing, and even gain the approval of Su Tianxue, the guardian…
Such cunning methods.
Jiang Ningran bit her lip, staring at the ceiling with a vicious look in her eyes.
Su Wanxing could only be hers.
If Shi Ning so much as thought about touching a single hair on Wanxing’s head, Jiang Ningran swore she would show Shi Ning what it felt like to fall from heaven to hell.
Her patience had its limits.
Jiang Ningran thought that tomorrow, she absolutely had to test Shi Ning again to see if this woman truly knew nothing, or if she had other plans.
Meanwhile, the Miss Shi she considered her rival had no mind to care about Su Wanxing right now.
Her attention was entirely focused on the woman beneath her.
At this moment, Shi Ning was like a beast that had its prey targeted. She extended her sharp claws, restraining her prize. If she truly had claws, they would have already pierced Su Tianxue’s flesh and bone as she gripped her hands, making that tender skin bleed, revealing crimson and white bone. Not like this, where she only left a faint mark on her soft flesh.
A faint mark that would disappear the moment she lifted her hand.
Shi Ning asked seriously, “Su Tianxue, tell me honestly. If you don’t like this kind of behavior, I won’t do it again.”
Su Tianxue turned her head away. “I don’t.”
Shi Ning: “Hm? I didn’t hear you clearly.”
Su Tianxue: “I don’t dislike it.”
Shi Ning smiled. “So you like it?”
Su Tianxue: “Get lost!”
“You just bit me.” Shi Ning tilted her head, her gaze full of interest. Having gotten Su Tianxue’s true feelings out of her, she wasn’t so tense anymore. She knew it. There had always been a fuse connecting the two of them, pulling them toward each other. Both of them had an instinctive desire to conquer the other. But if only one person could win, then Shi Ning would not be the one to lose.
“Su Tianxue, you’re not so well-behaved yourself.”
Shi Ning blew gently on the strands of hair by her ear. “I’m a very petty person.”
“Whoever bullies me, I bully them back.”
“So, Su Tianxue, you bit me, so I have to bite you back.”
Su Tianxue adopted a mindset of just letting it happen.
She closed her eyes and exposed her earlobe. “Hurry up.”
Shi Ning laughed, the end of the sound lilting, turning into a jolt of electricity in the dark room that startled Su Tianxue but was impossible to avoid.
She said, “Su Tianxue, who said I was going to bite your ear?”
“Don’t you know? Biting other places is more stimulating, more pleasurable?”
