PANT - Chapter 15
Chapter 15
“You want to stay?” Su Wanxing’s eyes widened as she looked at Jiang Ningran.
Jiang Ningran lowered her head, her voice soft and weak. “It’s a little too late today. I’m afraid my parents will be angry if I go home.”
“But!” Su Wanxing was about to explode with anger, but she couldn’t tell her sister the truth. After all, even she didn’t want to admit what had happened between her and Jiang Ningran at the hotel.
Su Tianxue had never felt such a headache. She looked at her reluctant sister, then at Jiang Ningran, and then at Shi Ning, who was clinging to her arm, even more clingy than the two younger girls. Her head throbbed even more.
“Stay the night,” Su Tianxue said.
It was too late, and it wasn’t appropriate to let an Omega like Jiang Ningran go out alone.
Su Wanxing couldn’t believe it. “Sister!”
Su Tianxue’s tone was flat. “You can sleep with Ningran tonight.”
Su Wanxing pouted. “I don’t want to.”
Hearing her refusal, Jiang Ningran’s eyes dimmed slightly.
Su Tianxue asked, “It’s not like you haven’t slept with her before, is it?”
Su Wanxing stammered, “B-but I just don’t want to now!”
Shi Ning said lazily, “Isn’t there a sofa?”
“Junior Jiang, you can sleep on the sofa.”
Su Tianxue shot her a sideways glance. “What sofa? The sofa is for you.”
Su Wanxing quickly shook her head. “No, no, no, Sister, I think it’s fine for Jiang… Jiang to sleep on the sofa. She loves sofas, right?”
Su Wanxing was desperate to keep Jiang Ningran out of her bed.
Jiang Ningran put on a thoughtful smile. “Sister, I can sleep on the sofa.”
With both younger girls being so stubborn, Su Tianxue didn’t know what else to say.
Seeing this, Shi Ning knew that the sofa Su Tianxue had originally assigned to her had successfully found a new owner.
She linked her arm with Su Tianxue’s. “Then where do I sleep?”
Su Tianxue glanced at her, not failing to notice her smugness.
Shi Ning let out a strange “Oh.” “It seems Sister Su doesn’t want to share a bed with me.” Shi Ning looked leisurely at Su Wanxing. “In that case, little sister Wanxing, how about we squeeze in together tonight?”
“No!”
This time, three people answered in unison.
Treated like a monster, Shi Ning blinked innocently. “Well, I can’t sleep on the floor, can I?”
Jiang Ningran really wanted to say, You can come squeeze onto the sofa with me.
But her current identity was an Omega, and it would be inappropriate to say something like that. She didn’t want Su Tianxue to know her true identity so soon. Otherwise, Su Tianxue would very likely stop her from getting close to Su Wanxing.
Su Wanxing was already starting to resist her. If she lost Su Tianxue as a potential avenue of leverage, Jiang Ningran feared her path ahead would become increasingly difficult.
Su Wanxing pouted. “Why can’t you sleep on the floor?”
“Our floor is nice and clean. What’s wrong with you sleeping on it?”
Su Wanxing was a spoiled little girl, and her words carried a hint of unreasonableness.
Su Tianxue glanced at her, and Su Wanxing shut her mouth.
Shi Ning said pitifully, “Alright, the floor is fine too.”
As she spoke, she deliberately watched Su Tianxue’s expression.
Su Tianxue sighed. “That’s enough.”
She said, “You’ll sleep with me tonight.”
Hearing this, Shi Ning smiled imperceptibly.
She really had to thank Su Wanxing and Jiang Ningran for showing up today. Otherwise, she probably wouldn’t have been able to share a bed with Su Tianxue on her very first day in the Su family’s old house.
As they say, the older the ginger, the spicier it is.
Su Wanxing was dead set against it. “Sister, how can you sleep with her? Don’t you know she-”
Shi Ning watched her suddenly trail off and raised an eyebrow.
Why does Su Wanxing know about “her” past?
It seemed Su Wanxing’s resistance wasn’t born from an Omega’s instinctual fear of an Alpha, nor was it, as Shi Ning had previously guessed, because she was worried someone would steal her sister away.
She might have more secrets.
For example, could she possibly be like Jiang Ningran?
Shi Ning made a mental note of it. But right now, she had no time to get tangled up in such matters with a little girl like Su Wanxing. The priority now was that she wanted to sleep with Su Tianxue tonight!
Ahem, the purely platonic kind.
Of course, if the opportunity arose and Su Tianxue allowed it, she wouldn’t mind letting Su Tianxue follow through on what she’d said that afternoon.
Su Tianxue still owed her one.
Shi Ning pressed her head against Su Tianxue’s arm. “Why can’t I sleep with her?”
“We’re friends.” Shi Ning deliberately emphasized the last word.
Su Wanxing’s eyes widened. “Impossible! My sister doesn’t have a friend like you!”
Jiang Ningran also frowned. She had never heard about this in her past life. But in her memory, Shi Ning and Su Tianxue’s relationship was very good.
To be precise, Shi Ning got along well with almost everyone.
Except for the people she didn’t like.
For example, her.
Shi Ning, acting like a child herself, didn’t back down and bickered with Su Wanxing. “Why is it impossible?”
“Su Wanxing, how much do you really know about your sister?”
She said it casually, but unexpectedly, the words landed in Su Wanxing’s heart like a heavy stone. Su Wanxing froze for a moment. Fearing her sister was upset, Su Tianxue quickly pulled Shi Ning to her feet. “I’m tired. Let’s go back to the room.”
Su Wanxing stood rooted to the spot, watching her sister’s and Shi Ning’s retreating backs, still mulling over the words Shi Ning had just blurted out.
That’s right.
How much do I really know about my sister?
Seeing them leave, Jiang Ningran reached a hand toward Su Wanxing. “Wanxing, can we talk?”
Su Wanxing dodged back and shook her head.
She fled to her room like a rabbit, locked the door from the inside, and even put on earmuffs.
Play dead!
As long as I hide fast enough, Jiang Ningran can’t do anything to me!
Hmph!
Meanwhile, in the room next door, the dim space was lit only by a small, cloud-shaped breathing night light that flickered on and off, like a star fallen to earth.
The bed, illuminated by the star’s faint light, was empty. The neatly arranged four-piece bedding set reflected the owner’s personality; even the corners were perfectly tucked, the surface so flat you could draw a straight line across it.
The bed’s owner, at this moment, was being pressed against the wall by the door.
Su Tianxue’s beautiful eyes, also like stars, glittered before Shi Ning. She glared at Shi Ning, trying to push her away with all her might, but Shi Ning grabbed her wrists and held them above her head as if in a pair of handcuffs, rendering her immobile.
Shi Ning’s good mood from the entire day had curdled into mischievous malice.
She pinched Su Tianxue’s chin and nudged her legs apart with her knee, lifting it slightly and drawing a muffled groan from her.
“Wife.” Shi Ning’s fingertips gently caressed Su Tianxue’s lips, her gaze darker than the unlit room. “What did you call her just now?”
“What?” Su Tianxue frowned. “Let go of me first, then we can talk. Okay?”
Shi Ning pinched her lips, her finger slipping past to tease the tip of her tongue. “That cute, very well-behaved little girl.”
“Wife, you called her Ningran.”
“When you call her that, I get a little upset.”
