DDT - Chapter 28

Chapter 28: School Tyrant × The Pushover (5)

The two groups stood facing each other in the small alley. The leader of the opposing group was a boy about 1.9 meters tall. He looked down his nose at the 1.7-meter-something Chi Junluo with utter disdain. His face, caked with white foundation, was framed by two shadowed eye sockets. His eyes, fitted with blood-red colored contacts, casually swept over Chi Junluo and her lackeys.

"Is this the most badass crew at Qingshui High?" the lead boy asked when he saw Chi Junluo's wooden expression, as if she couldn't be bothered to say a word. The grating sound of his adolescent, squawking voice truly wounded Chi Junluo's poor little ears. "You all look pretty damn weak to me. And you, a girl… you could be doing anything else, but instead, you spend your days running around with a bunch of trash, fighting all the time. Not ladylike at all. A woman like you? I wouldn't even take you if you were offered to me for free."

The vulgar words spilled from the lead boy's orange-lipsticked mouth, instantly revealing his character.

Chi Junluo frowned. Most of the lackeys behind her were veterans who had followed her for nearly three years. They knew her formidable strength and her way of handling things inside and out. A boss with such a strong sense of loyalty was a rare find these days.

Her followers were clearly getting agitated. A few of the more hot-headed ones looked ready to rush forward and tear apart the mouth of this bastard who had insulted their boss.

Chi Junluo turned and gave them a look that told them to be quiet. They instantly understood and suppressed their frustration, waiting for their boss to give the order.

Chi Junluo raised her eyes and scanned the lead boy. "Are you a duck?" she asked.

The boy was clearly taken aback, obviously not understanding. "What duck?"

"You know, a duck who sleeps with rich old women. You're dressed so gaudily—isn't it to seduce some sugar mommy into bed with you?" Chi Junluo's lips moved, sarcastic and venomous words floating from her mouth, each one stabbing deep into the lead boy's heart. "Look at you guys from No. 3 Middle School. Every single one of you is wearing heavy makeup, even better than most girls. You've got a lot of foundation on your face, don't you? And I bet your little backpack is full of lipstick. We're here for a fight today, so who the hell are you trying to seduce with all that makeup? So, it turns out the boys from No. 3 Middle School can only survive and build their little gangs by being kept by rich women."

After saying her piece, Chi Junluo felt a bit better and even let out a jaunty whistle.

The boys on the other side belatedly realized what Chi Junluo was saying. This little girl who didn't know her place actually dared to call them ducks! This was the last straw!

"You fucking bitch! We gave you an inch and you took a fucking mile! What the hell are you spouting?! Do I look like some pretty boy who gets kept by women?!" The lead boy and the rest of the students from No. 3 Middle School were about to explode with rage.

"Why don't you take out a mirror and have a look? Aren't you just a big, burly pretty boy?" Chi Junluo, enjoying the chaos, continued her verbal assault, a psychological blow against these boys whose minds had been addled by the Shamate subculture.

Seeing the furious looks on the faces of the losers from No. 3 Middle School, Chi Junluo's followers let out a collective sigh of relief in their hearts. It felt so damn good. As expected, Sister Chi wasn't just a great fighter; her tongue was just as sharp.

The lead boy felt a knot of anger tighten in his chest, nearly choking him. He was a strapping young man of over 1.9 meters! Being called a duck was as humiliating and infuriating as a virtuous woman being called a prostitute!

He had spent his entire life fighting and expanding his influence on campus. He'd had no time for girlfriends, let alone losing his virginity! He usually took care of things himself; he was still a pure young man! And now he was being called a duck! This was absolutely intolerable!

To prove his innocence, he decided he would beat the slanderer, Chi Junluo, to a pulp and force her to take back her words!

"I, Ye Liangchen, have never hit a woman. Originally, I just wanted you lot from Qingshui High to call me 'Big Brother,' and I would have let you go. I might have even taken you under my wing!" the lead boy chattered on. "But now I've changed my mind. A gentleman prefers death to dishonor! You've insulted my good name, so don't blame me for not being polite!"

"Ha~" Chi Junluo yawned after listening to Ye Liangchen's tirade. "You're such a nag. You've been blabbering on for so long. If you're going to fight, then stop yapping. Don't you know that villains always die because they talk too much?"

Although he didn't understand what "villain" meant, Ye Liangchen understood that Chi Junluo was calling him long-winded. He was so angry he could have coughed up blood. "Cut the crap! I'll count to three, and then we'll start! I've never hit a woman before, but today I'll make an exception for you. Let's see if I don't knock your teeth out!"

Chi Junluo almost laughed out loud. She had never heard of a pre-arranged fight that started with a three-two-one countdown. This wasn't a movie set; they didn't need a clapperboard.

Seeing the undisguised smile on Chi Junluo's face, Ye Liangchen felt he had been insulted!

"I'm starting the count!" The big idiot Ye Liangchen, as Chi Junluo saw him, began his countdown. "Three."

On Chi Junluo's side, a lackey next to her spoke with some concern. "Sister Chi, I heard that this new school tyrant from No. 3 Middle School is a taekwondo black belt. He's even won awards at the provincial level."

"Two."

Chi Junluo gave her follower a reassuring look. "With Sister Chi here, there's nothing to fear."

"One!"

"If you guys can't win later, just kick them down there!" Chi Junluo whispered.

The lackey's eyes widened. Isn't that a bit… dirty?

Chi Junluo shifted her gaze away, paying no more attention to her follower, because Ye Liangchen was already charging toward her with his thick, long legs, leading a pack of Shamate boys.

Watching the Shamate crew, their strides slightly hampered by their skinny jeans, and their colorful, palette-like hair fluttering in the wind, Chi Junluo rubbed her forehead. It seemed she would have to bite the bullet and fight this group of non-mainstream clowns today…

Unseen by either group, a pretty girl of average height was hiding outside the alley. Her eyes were wide as she watched the two groups shout "Charge!" and clash together. The crisp or dull thuds of clubs and bats made the girl's teeth ache. Then, the crowd seemed to part, as if to clear a space for someone. When the girl got a clear view of the two people fighting in the center, her eyes widened even further in surprise. She recognized the girl who was fighting the tall, sturdy boy of over 1.9 meters! Wasn't that the school tyrant, Chi Junluo, the one who had saved her once? Why was she fighting with someone???

As Chi Junluo watched the 1.9-meter-plus giant charge at her, she was actually a little intimidated. In her previous life, before she died, she had been nothing more than a weak woman who couldn't even truss a chicken. How could she possibly know how to fight? Of course, one either perishes in silence or erupts in it. That blood-red night later on, her violent outburst had merely been a coincidence born of desperation.

She didn't know how to fight!

Chi Junluo frantically called out to the Heavenly Dao, who was leisurely watching the show from her sea of consciousness.

Just as a massive fist was about to smash into her face, Chi Junluo's eyelids twitched. Fortunately, this body had been in so many fights that it had developed muscle memory for danger. She instinctively ducked, narrowly avoiding the whistling fist. Then, Chi Junluo swept her long leg out. With a thwack, Ye Liangchen's hands hit the ground, and he nearly fell. In her sea of consciousness, the Heavenly Dao offered a solution. "Chi Chi, carefully feel for that wisp of energy in your body. That's the Power of the Heavenly Dao you collected in the last world. Use your mental power to mobilize it and concentrate it in your hands or feet. You'll get an unexpected boost!"

The Heavenly Dao crossed its legs and continued to enjoy the show.

Hearing the Heavenly Dao's words, Chi Junluo quickly tried to mobilize her mental power as she had in the previous world. Although she was an ordinary person in this world and couldn't project her mental power externally, she could clearly feel the "energy" the Heavenly Dao had mentioned.

She used her mental power to move the "energy" into both hands. Across from her, Ye Liangchen threw another punch. For some reason, the lackeys on both sides gradually stopped fighting and quietly formed a circle to watch their bosses face off.

The lackeys: We will never admit we stopped because we were afraid of the pain!!!

At this critical moment, everyone broke into a cold sweat for Chi Junluo, who was petite compared to Ye Liangchen. But then they saw Chi Junluo throw a punch of her own.

Several of the more experienced lackeys and Shamate boys couldn't help but close their eyes. Why did Chi Junluo throw such a limp-wristed punch?! Her stance was unstable, and she put no force behind it! How could a punch like that possibly threaten a giant like Ye Liangchen?

Although her followers were anxious, they chose to believe in Chi Junluo. Perhaps it was just a feint, and she had another trick up her sleeve!

Ye Liangchen looked at the soft punch coming from the short girl before him. He thought to himself, If a girl like this can be a boss, then Qingshui High is as good as mine!

Right before everyone's eyes, their two fists finally collided.

To everyone's astonishment, Chi Junluo, who they had expected to be sent flying, stood her ground without moving an inch. In contrast, the massive Ye Liangchen froze for a second before stumbling back several steps, falling to the ground, and clutching his right hand as he let out a bloodcurdling howl!

"Ahhhhhhh!" The heart-wrenching scream made everyone who heard it shudder! It must have been excruciatingly painful for a 1.9-meter-tall man to lose his composure like that!

When the crowd took a closer look, they couldn't help but gasp.

Ye Liangchen's right forearm was broken in the middle. It was now hanging limply against his leg.

What everyone had expected to be a bloody brawl had taken a completely different turn. Just how tough was this terrifying girl, and how much strength did she possess to break someone's arm in a head-on clash of fists?!

The losers from No. 3 Middle School felt a chill run down their own arms, as if they had been broken too.

"Do you want another round?" Chi Junluo stood her ground, her tone filled with excitement.

The Power of the Heavenly Dao was truly formidable!

"Everyone, charge him! I refuse to believe that a hundred of us can't take down one person!" Ye Liangchen endured the pain and gave the order. He had lost a tremendous amount of face today and was not willing to accept it! His lackeys were all armed with clubs and other weapons. He refused to believe they couldn't beat a single, unarmed girl by ganging up on her!

The boys from No. 3 Middle School exchanged glances, their masculine bravado ignited. "Awoooo!" they howled as they charged toward Chi Junluo.

"Protect Sister Chi!" Chi Junluo's followers were not to be outdone!
