DDT - Chapter 29

Chapter 29: School Tyrant × The Pushover (6)

Countless people began to swarm toward Chi Junluo. In an instant, the hair-raising sound of clashing clubs filled the alley.

Clubs have no eyes, and the alley was filled with teenagers who didn't know how to hold back. Soon, the ground was littered with groaning lackeys in the uniforms of both schools.

Chi Junluo took them down one punch at a time, her figure weaving nimbly through the crowd of No. 3 Middle School students. Her fists and feet were wrapped in the Power of the Heavenly Dao, invisible to the naked eye, and they carried a force no ordinary person could withstand.

Chi Junluo aimed her strikes precisely, felling one person with a single punch and sending another flying with a kick.

Soon, the area around her was strewn with lackeys who had lost the ability to fight. A few had even fallen unconscious.

But when you walk by the river, you're bound to get your shoes wet. With so many people in the fray, Chi Junluo still took several hits from the clubs.

The worst blow came from someone in the chaos—she couldn't tell from which side—who slammed a club into her arm. Fortunately, she had used her cheat, the Power of the Heavenly Dao, beforehand, which saved her arm from being broken. Still, a long, purplish-blue welt swelled up on her skin.

Even with the help of her own lackeys, Chi Junluo carved out a space for herself in the melee with her bare hands.

She moved as if through an unmanned realm. Her powerful, superhuman fighting ability gradually struck fear deep into the hearts of the No. 3 Middle School punks.

Seeing more and more of their own lose the ability and the courage to fight, the lackeys from No. 3 Middle School began to retreat, no longer daring to charge forward. Ye Liangchen was so furious he could have ground his teeth to dust.

Two of the bolder ones howled and charged forward again, only to be taken down by a beautiful shoulder throw and a leg sweep from Chi Junluo. One of them was actually holding a stun baton. Just as it was about to hit Chi Junluo, electric sparks flew with a crackling sound that startled everyone.

Several of Chi Junluo's lackeys cried out in alarm, "Sister Chi! Watch out!"

Fortunately, Chi Junluo reacted a step faster. She kicked out viciously, sending the stun baton flying from the hand of the boy on the ground.

Seeing his sneak attack fail, the boy cursed under his breath. Chi Junluo had already learned the details of the arranged fight through the Heavenly Dao. There was an unspoken rule among the major schools in the Qingshui district: only clubs and other cold weapons were allowed in fights. Controlled knives, stun batons, pepper spray, and firearms were strictly forbidden. The leaders of the schools all knew that while fighting was acceptable, it couldn't involve organized crime or achieve victory through despicable means.

Ye Liangchen, of course, knew exactly what his underlings were carrying. Now, everyone knew what he had been planning.

He had intended to use the stun baton as his trump card. Regardless of the outcome today, he planned to use it to teach Chi Junluo a lesson. If something happened, the worst-case scenario was that Chi Junluo would be crippled and hospitalized. Then she wouldn't have time to bother him. Or, even if the other schools united to condemn him, he could just push his lackey forward to take the blame. Either way, he could distance himself from it, so why not?

But he never imagined that Chi Junluo could dodge it at such close range! The power of his subordinate's stun baton was far greater than that of a common self-defense taser. One jolt was enough to knock a normal adult unconscious.

He hadn't expected his lackey to be so useless!

Chi Junluo's face turned cold. She bent down, grabbed the failed attacker's hands, and gave them a sharp twist. With a painful scream, both of the boy's arms were dislocated.

Her ruthlessness in dislocating the boy's arms completely terrified the group of No. 3 Middle School lackeys, most of whom had never been in a real fight or seen anything like it.

The group cautiously backed away.

Chi Junluo bent down, picked up the stun baton, and began to walk forward step by step.

With every step she took, the lackeys took a step back, gradually exposing Ye Liangchen, who was sitting on the ground in too much pain to move.

Seeing his own lackeys retreat so pathetically, Ye Liangchen was overcome with rage. He struggled, gritting his teeth against the pain, trying to stand up. But Chi Junluo had already strode right up to him.

"If I remember correctly, stun batons aren't allowed in these fights, are they?" Chi Junluo's cold voice came from above him. Ye Liangchen failed to get up and could only sit slumped on the ground, glaring up at her with undisguised venom and malice in his eyes.

"Don't get too arrogant, Chi Junluo. You'd better watch your back. Don't let me get any dirt on you. When that day comes, I'll torture you until you regret everything you've done today!"

Ye Liangchen was like a dead pig that doesn't fear boiling water. He was convinced Chi Junluo wouldn't dare do anything serious to him. After all, no matter how much of a school tyrant they were, they were still just students. Who would actually dare to take a life? Their usual fights were just child's play. When it came to life-threatening situations, they would hesitate. No one wanted to spend years in prison.

Besides, Chi Junluo had seriously injured him this time, breaking his bones. He would definitely get his revenge later.

As for what methods he would use, that was something Chi Junluo couldn't possibly guess.

"It seems you still don't realize what you did wrong." Chi Junluo, having the soul of someone in her twenties, naturally adopted the attitude of an elder looking at these teenage brats. "In that case, allow me to properly teach you what you did wrong."

Looking up at the towering figure of Chi Junluo from his position, Ye Liangchen felt a faint sense of unease. Why did the school tyrant of Qingshui High have the same aura as his headteacher?

Before Ye Liangchen could process his worry, Chi Junluo jabbed the stun baton into his stomach. Before he could even register the meaning of her action, a crackling sound filled the air as Chi Junluo pressed the button.

A blue arc of electricity instantly crawled over Ye Liangchen's body. Chi Junluo released her thumb, and the arc vanished. But in that brief moment, before he could even scream, Ye Liangchen's massive body fell backward, stiff as a board.

Chi Junluo casually tossed the stun baton aside and returned to her own ranks. The lackeys from Qingshui High all looked at her with worship in their eyes. A boss this powerful, with such a cool style, was truly better seen than heard about! That ruthlessness! They loved it!!!

Seeing the opposing boss collapse unconscious, the Qingshui High lackeys jumped up and down in excitement, howling like wolves to express their joy.

Chi Junluo glanced at the punks from No. 3 Middle School, who were now huddled together in fear, and raised an eyebrow. "Are you going to scram, or are you waiting for me to beat you up one by one?"

The lackeys finally snapped out of it. Without daring to utter another word, a few of them scurried forward, lifted their boss's enormous body, and timidly scurried away toward the other end of the alley. There were still several boys from No. 3 Middle School lying on the ground, too weak to get up. Chi Junluo kicked them disdainfully with her foot, then gathered her own lackeys. After giving them some general instructions, she promised to treat them to karaoke and barbecue soon. Then she dismissed them on the spot, telling them to treat their wounds and go home to their mothers.

Only then did Chi Junluo retract the Power of the Heavenly Dao and walk out of the alley.

It was only now that waves of pain began to travel from her swollen injuries to her brain. "Hiss…" Chi Junluo sucked in a sharp breath.

"Chi Junluo."

Just as she stepped out of the alley, she heard a familiar, soft female voice from the side.

Chi Junluo turned her head in surprise and saw the heroine, Yi Shuhan, standing at the mouth of the alley with a backpack on and a worried expression on her face.

"Shuhan? What are you doing here?" Chi Junluo stopped and turned to face Yi Shuhan. "You should be home by now. It's not safe for you to be out alone this late."

As she spoke, Chi Junluo frowned, her face full of concern for Yi Shuhan. The heroine was so delicate; it would be trouble if some bad guy targeted her.

"Where do you live? I'll walk you home first," Chi Junluo decided firmly.

Yi Shuhan didn't know what was wrong with her. A strange anger welled up from deep within her, and she wasn't even sure what she was angry about. The only thing she knew for certain was that she was angry at the girl standing before her, the one who was slightly taller than her and had saved her once.

For a moment, she couldn't figure out what she was so mad about.

Yi Shuhan looked at the slightly disheveled and battered Chi Junluo. Her gaze fell on the arm beneath Chi Junluo's rolled-up sleeve. A long, purplish-blue welt was swollen high on her fair skin, clearly a serious injury.

Remembering the brawl she had just witnessed in the alley, Yi Shuhan wondered how many other injuries the beautiful girl in front of her had sustained.

Unconsciously, Yi Shuhan's face hardened. The usual gentleness was gone, replaced by a seriousness and worry she herself didn't notice.

Yi Shuhan took two steps forward, reached out, and gently took Chi Junluo's uninjured arm, leading her toward the large pharmacy across the street.

Under the guidance of the pharmacy auntie, Yi Shuhan rushed around buying various medicines for bruises, as well as hydrogen peroxide, bandages, and other supplies.

After paying swiftly, Yi Shuhan walked over to Chi Junluo, who was standing foolishly at the pharmacy entrance, looking a bit lost. She extended her right hand, tilted her head up, and pulled the bewildered Chi Junluo out of the pharmacy.

"Chi Junluo, where do you live? I'm taking you home, and I'll help you apply the medicine." In just a few minutes, Yi Shuhan had assertively thrown Chi Junluo's own offer right back at her.

Chi Junluo: (⊙o⊙)……

So the heroine has an assertive side to her, huh!
