PANT - Chapter 3
Chapter 3
“Miss Su, is there any need to be so tense?”
Shi Ning was almost amused by Su Tianxue's appearance—her body was as stiff as if she were walking to her own execution. Shi Ning wasn't in the habit of forcing people, and seeing her so frightened and lost, the fire in her own heart died down a little.
She leaned down, her long red hair spilling forward and brushing against the side of Su Tianxue's face, tickling her slightly. Su Tianxue looked up at her.
Shi Ning's looks were as audacious as her personality. She was like a flame, a wild streak coloring her features. Now, her fingertips were slowly, deliberately tracing a path across Su Tianxue's face, then downward, and further down. Su Tianxue had no doubt that if Shi Ning were holding a tattoo needle, she would have left a straight line extending infinitely downward on her skin.
Su Tianxue's expression was cold. The resistance she felt toward another Alpha was still there; she wanted nothing more than to flip over and pin the woman beneath her, but she couldn't.
For one hundred thousand yuan, she had forfeited that right.
Su Tianxue turned her head away. “If you’re going to do it, just get it over with.”
“What do you think this is, grocery shopping?”
“‘See something you like, pay for it, take it home, and whip it up into a meal in no time.’ Shi Ning hooked Su Tianxue's chin. “That's not how it works, is it?”
Su Tianxue replied bluntly, “Why not?”
“Are you serious?”
Her fingertip twitched. “You’re okay with me just going right in?”
Her heart filled with despair, Su Tianxue answered resolutely, “Yes.”
“...But I’m not.”
What she wanted was the pleasure of making love, not some task to be completed just because they were already there.
Su Tianxue grew impatient. “Then what do you want?”
Hearing her question, Shi Ning froze. What did she want? She wanted Su Tianxue to be willing.
But clearly, that was impossible.
At least, it was impossible in the short term.
“Let’s try something else,” Shi Ning said, raising an eyebrow. “Since you hate Alphas, I don’t want to force the issue.”
Su Tianxue asked, “Will I still get paid?” Her objective was clear.
Shi Ning gritted her teeth. “Yes.”
In all her years of playing the field, she'd never met someone who brought up money so brazenly.
She looked at Su Tianxue's cold, stunning face.
Even though she was the one paying, and this was a transaction, she wasn't happy about getting what she wanted this way.
But just giving her the money and letting her go felt unsatisfying.
Why should she?
She had to get a little something for herself.
A mischievous idea began to bubble up in her mind.
“I won’t touch you,” Shi Ning said.
Su Tianxue didn't believe her for a second. She eyed the other woman suspiciously. “Really?”
“Really,” Shi Ning said with earnest sincerity. “I won’t touch you.”
Even if she didn't use her own hands, she had plenty of other methods.
Half an hour later, Su Tianxue's body was limp, covered in a thin sheen of sweat. The room was filled with the rich scent of snow. But the snow had melted, carrying a hint of sweetness, turning it into something like creamy ice cream. Shi Ning pressed her lips together, licked the corner of her mouth, and resisted the urge to take things further.
After a long moment of silence, Su Tianxue finally came to her senses. She struggled slightly, and the sound of metal clinking came from her wrists.
“Can you let me go now?” Her eyes were cold, but a flush of pink still stained her cheeks.
The thought of how Su Tianxue had been on the verge of tears but had stubbornly refused to utter a single plea made Shi Ning feel that sparring with her was a unique pleasure. A sweet, soft girl would obediently call her 'Jiejie,' look adorable, and whine coquettishly. But someone like Su Tianxue possessed an unbending, unbreakable pride. It was precisely this kind of person—watching someone like her fall helplessly into a mire of desire—that was so incredibly satisfying.
It gave her a real sense of accomplishment.
Shi Ning was tempted to do more, but she had a feeling that if she pushed it, Su Tianxue would probably bite her to death on the spot. The woman was the type to turn cold in an instant; once the pleasure was gone, she switched modes completely, her eyes devoid of any lingering emotion when she looked at her.
Sigh. How unsatisfying.
Shi Ning sighed softly, kneeling beside her and reaching out to undo the metal restraints.
“Su Tianxue,” Shi Ning advised her with good intentions, “you shouldn’t do this kind of thing again.”
The moment the words were out, she felt like she was lecturing her.
She pressed her lips together, not bothering to say more.
Click. The handcuffs fell to the floor with a sharp clatter.
Su Tianxue pulled her hands free. A ring of red marks from the rough treatment now circled her pale, slender wrists, but she paid them no mind.
She shoved Shi Ning away, got off the bed cleanly, and began picking up her clothes and putting them on. She was as silent as a snowflake vanishing upon landing. Once she was fully dressed, she walked over to Shi Ning and held out her phone. Shi Ning glanced at it. It was a QR code.
To be precise, a payment code.
Shi Ning said, “Sorry, I don’t use this.”
Su Tianxue's tone grew heavy as she stressed, “You promised. One hundred thousand.”
Shi Ning shrugged. “Why are you angry? I never said I wouldn’t pay.” She glanced at Su Tianxue's phone. “Add me as a friend, and I'll transfer it.” She looked up at the woman, a smug, punchable smile on her face. “And if you ever want to do this kind of business again, don’t go to anyone else. Come find me.”
Su Tianxue wanted nothing more than to punch the woman in front of her.
She restrained herself.
With a stony expression, she switched to her contact QR code and presented it to Shi Ning.
After adding her, Shi Ning added, “No 'chat only' permissions, no blocking me, and no putting me in a restricted group.” She had anticipated nearly everything Su Tianxue might try to do.
Beggars can't be choosers.
Su Tianxue said, “Fine.”
Shi Ning transferred the one hundred thousand. Once the money arrived in her account, Su Tianxue gave her a bow and walked out.
Seeing that the woman still had the strength to walk, Shi Ning felt a pang of regret.
She should have played rougher.
She should have left her trembling so much she could barely walk out.
She stretched, sat on the bed to meditate for a moment, forcing herself to calm down. She walked out to the balcony, intending to have a smoke, but before she could even light her cigarette, she saw Su Tianxue downstairs. The woman took no more than two steps before squatting down on the spot.
Shi Ning frowned. She'd gone pretty easy on her, hadn't she? She hadn't done anything that bad. It couldn't have made Su Tianxue this uncomfortable, could it?
She watched quietly from the balcony for a moment.
Su Tianxue was still squatting right where she'd stopped.
A flicker of irritation went through Shi Ning. She tossed aside the unlit cigarette, grabbed a jacket, and headed out.
The September weather was neither cold nor hot, just stuffy enough to be irritating.
She went downstairs and, relying on her general sense of direction, found Su Tianxue.
Passersby were giving the woman strange looks, not understanding why she had suddenly squatted down on the ground.
As Shi Ning got closer, she sensed something was wrong. She crouched down, her voice patient and gentle. “What's wrong?”
She added jokingly, “Still mad about what happened back there?”
Hearing the familiar voice, Su Tianxue looked up. Her lips were pressed together, her eyes were red, and tears had streaked her makeup, leaving her face a mess. Her sleeves were soaked. The incomparably stubborn ice queen from moments ago had turned into a pitiful, tear-stained mess.
Shi Ning's heart clenched.
Was it this painful for an Alpha to be topped in this world?
She was completely at a loss.
“I-” Shi Ning had only managed to get one word out before Su Tianxue lunged at her, grabbing her by the shoulders and biting down hard. It was her way of suppressing her emotions, of keeping herself from breaking down and sobbing in the middle of the street.
The force sent Shi Ning stumbling back to sit on the ground, catching the other woman. She didn't know whether to hug her back or not. She was stunned.
Passersby who saw the scene began to point and whisper.
One young woman clicked her tongue and remarked, “Looks like a classic case of a player getting caught by their spurned lover.”
Shi Ning: ?
She could accept being called a player.
But she couldn't accept being accused of having a long-term partner.
She planned to play the field for at least another twenty years!
Shi Ning sighed and whispered helplessly to Su Tianxue, “You heard that. People are getting the wrong idea. Why don't you let go of me first? We can talk this out. If you're this upset about what I did... then I'll... I'll let you...”
Fine, she couldn't bring herself to say it.
Suddenly, she understood Su Tianxue a little better.
Shi Ning blurted out, “How about I find you an Omega so you can get your own back?”
