ISBH - Chapter 3

Chapter 3: Little Vixen

Sunlight pierced through the car window, glaring into her eyes. In her dream, the same nightmare played out: a woman smiled, then vanished beneath the sunlight.

Mo Sang snapped her eyes open.

She sat inside the car, turning her head to glance beside her. There was no one there.

Still not working?

Mo Sang lowered her head, biting down on her lower lip. Her long eyelashes hid the expression in her eyes, yet her entire demeanor shifted abruptly. She looked gloomy and desperate, like a pitch-black abyss.

Just as Li Ai had said, Mo Sang was having another episode!

...

But this version of Mo Sang seemed even more compelling than usual!

Han Tian stood outside the car and swallowed hard. No wonder fans in the Super Topic kept urging Mo Sang to challenge herself and play that kind of ruthless, captivating villainess...

Han Tian couldn't help but tap on the car window. "You're awake?"

"Didn't you say you'd cook for me? Do you have groceries at your place?"

Mo Sang lifted her gaze and stared blankly at Han Tian, showing seemingly no reaction.

After speaking, Han Tian's own heart trembled involuntarily. Saying something like that was truly testing a mom fan's limits!

To Han Tian, a devoted mom fan, Mo Sang was light itself, a precious Cub who never had to touch household chores and only needed to shine. She never dreamed she would live to see the day she bossily ordered Mo Sang around to cook.

Then again... she had already agreed to play her ex-girlfriend. Charging a little interest shouldn't be too much to ask, right?

Besides, when Mo Sang interacted with that ex-girlfriend, the other party usually seemed to be the dominant one...

Lost in thought, the aura surrounding Mo Sang inside the car changed almost instantly. The gloom enveloping her melted away like ice and snow, and a brilliant smile bloomed across her face. Her eyes regained their vitality in an instant.

Mo Sang looked at Han Tian with sparkling eyes, her voice tinged with a hint of coaxing. "Sister, you're still here?"

"What do you want to eat? We can go buy groceries together later..."

Han Tian turned her gaze away, restraining the urge to pull out her phone and take a picture.

This side of Mo Sang looked beautiful too!

Being looked at with those eyes, Han Tian felt her cheeks burning hot enough to catch fire.

...

"Whatever!" Han Tian suppressed her inner urges, pursed her lips, and deliberately adopted the bossy demeanor fitting her role. "Hurry up."

"Then what reward will you give me, Sister?" Mo Sang narrowed her eyes, tilting her head as she let out a playful chuckle, leaning closer to Han Tian through the window...

Sunlight spilled over Mo Sang's jet-black hair. Half of her beautiful face peeked out from the car window: delicate contours, flawless pale skin, rosy lips, and a pair of smiling eyes that seemed to hide hooks...

Seeing Mo Sang draw nearer, Han Tian's heart suddenly raced. She dropped her head and took a few quick steps back.

"You saw through it!" With the kiss plan foiled, Mo Sang made a soft 'tsk' sound, looking somewhat regretful as she watched Han Tian retreat like a startled rabbit. Her gaze fell on Han Tian's tightly clasped hands, tension evident, while light danced in the depths of her eyes.

"I'm going to change clothes."

"Wait for me, Sister. You can't run away now." Mo Sang smiled, pushed open the car door, stepped out, and walked up to stand in front of Han Tian. She was only five or six centimeters taller, yet despite the small height difference, Han Tian felt an overwhelming sense of pressure radiating from her, making it nearly impossible to breathe.

Mo Sang gazed steadily at Han Tian, clearly unwilling to move unless Han Tian nodded in agreement.

Afraid to look at Mo Sang's breathtaking face, Han Tian stared at her slender wrist and nodded hastily.

"Just five minutes." Seeing Han Tian nod, Mo Sang chuckled softly, plucked a fallen leaf from Han Tian's hair, and then turned to walk into the house.

Han Tian secretly lifted her head.

Once she confirmed she could no longer see Mo Sang's back, Han Tian patted her cheeks, finally managing to cool the heat rising to her face:

A voice in her mind scolded harshly, "Han Tian! Look at you! You've already slept with her, yet you're completely captivated by just one smile from Mo Sang..."

Another voice sighed instead, "Mo Sang looks so incredibly pretty like this! I really want to take a photo with my phone..."

...

The two voices warred within her, neither able to convince the other. Han Tian sighed deeply. As a visual fan, she truly felt a bit hopeless.

...

Almost as soon as Mo Sang entered the house, Li Ai, who had been in the room taking a call, walked out with an anxious expression. "I'm sorry, Miss Han. Something urgent came up at my company. Mo Sang is off today, so please take good care of her. We can discuss our arrangement another time..."

Hadn't they agreed to have lunch together, and then discuss how to persuade Mo Sang not to ignore her illness?

And... how long was "another time"?

...

Han Tian's eyes widened. Before she could even object, Li Ai was already in her car, quickly starting the engine...

Watching Li Ai's car drive off without a backward glance, Han Tian clenched her teeth.

Only then did she realize the trouble ahead: she was probably going to be alone with Mo Sang.

Was Li Ai really that trusting of her?

...

For a brief moment, Han Tian wanted to run away too.

She gripped her fists, got into the car, and really wanted to just start the engine and leave. However, Mo Sang's words, "You can't run away now," kept echoing in her mind.

It seemed on the night they slept together, Mo Sang had also asked her about running away...

What had she answered back then?

...

While she was pondering, the villa's front door opened, and a girl wearing a woven sun hat, a pink wig, and a dress stepped out of the house.

The girl skipped along, her bare arms and legs shining white, making her look like a sixteen- or seventeen-year-old schoolgirl.

If she hadn't known that Mo Sang was the only one living in this house, Han Tian would have almost suspected she was Mo Sang's younger sister.

Mo Sang walked up to Han Tian's car door. Only then did Han Tian notice she was wearing oversized sunglasses. The glasses covered half of Mo Sang's face, revealing only a petite, delicate chin and glossy red lips. The little vixen peered over the top of the frames, looking at Han Tian with a playful smile.

"Thump." At that moment, all Han Tian heard was the sound of her heart being struck. The outfit Mo Sang wore now was exactly the same one she had worn when Han Tian first saw her on screen after returning to the country!

Han Tian barely managed to tear her gaze away.

"Sister!" Mo Sang climbed into the passenger seat, took off her glasses, and beamed with joy. "Thank you for still waiting for me!"

"Smack." Mo Sang planted another kiss right on Han Tian's cheek.

...

Han Tian pressed her lips together, barely managing to suppress the urge to let her smile break through.

After all this time, Han Tian felt she had grown accustomed to Mo Sang's occasional kisses, yet the spot on her cheek where Mo Sang had kissed her still burned faintly...

Han Tian knew she couldn't keep going like this. After all, the ex-girlfriend she was playing should be a bossy, contemptuous villainess who treated Mo Sang like dirt!

Even though playing this blind ex-girlfriend gave Han Tian a headache, she was an extremely professional person. Since she had promised Li Ai, she decided to stick with the persona.

"Alright! Stop being so clingy!" Han Tian cleared her throat, forced a serious expression onto her face, and glared at Mo Sang sternly. "Sit properly!"

Han Tian had expected Mo Sang to disobey, thinking she might have to scold her a few more times. Yet this time, Mo Sang obediently shrank back into the passenger seat.

"Sister is so cute!" The smile on Mo Sang's lips deepened, though her expression remained utterly innocent and bright.

"Drive carefully, Sister. I won't bother you anymore!" Seeing Han Tian take a deep breath, her temper seemingly ready to flare, Mo Sang blinked and smiled like a little fox that had stolen oil.

To Han Tian's surprise, Mo Sang really didn't cause any more trouble afterward. She simply sat in the passenger seat, watching Han Tian unblinkingly until Han Tian felt like she was about to combust.

Ten minutes later, the two arrived at the largest supermarket nearby.

Even though Mo Sang was disguised, fearing she might be recognized, Han Tian still intended to finish the shopping quickly.

After her parents passed away when she was young, Han Tian had grown up with her grandparents. They were both renowned scientists as well, and the family spent almost every year in the laboratory. Meals at home were prepared by nannies. After returning to the country, Han Tian had also relied on cafeteria food and takeout for years. Aside from instant noodles, she had rarely ever set foot in a kitchen.

Han Tian led Mo Sang to the fresh food section. Overwhelmed by the dazzling array of ingredients, Han Tian felt a headache coming on. Mo Sang was so busy; what kind of cooking could she possibly do?

Maybe she should just order takeout later instead?

However, Mo Sang beside her had already started picking out ingredients rapidly.

Han Tian followed behind Mo Sang. She had no idea what Mo Sang planned to do with these items. Seeing how proficient Mo Sang looked, Han Tian simply pushed the shopping cart and loaded whatever Mo Sang selected.

Mo Sang wasn't sure if it was just her imagination, but she felt as though everyone's gaze throughout the trip was fixed on her and Han Tian.

Han Tian was genuinely afraid of hearing a sudden scream, with everyone starting to shout "Mo Sang"...

"Sister, I forgot my wallet!" After finally picking out the groceries, Mo Sang suddenly let out a startled cry while waiting in line to check out.

The little vixen tugged at Han Tian's arm, acting coquettishly. "Pay for it first, okay? I'll transfer the money to you later."

Han Tian was startled by the cry. Realizing it wasn't a fan, she breathed a sigh of relief. Not overthinking it, she grabbed her wallet and headed straight for the checkout counter.

An older man in his fifties stood behind the counter. He looked at Han Tian, then glanced at Mo Sang holding onto her arm, and frowned deeply.

Her cover wouldn't be blown right at this moment and the uncle would recognize Mo Sang... would it?

Han Tian's heart jumped into her throat.

However, the man showed no further reaction.

Frowning, he scanned the code and then looked at Han Tian's cheek. "Do you need a plastic bag?"

"Yes!" Han Tian's heart settled somewhat. He probably hadn't recognized Mo Sang!

She needed to get Mo Sang home quickly. Shopping with her in a supermarket was practically like carrying a ticking time bomb!

Mo Sang obediently took the plastic bags to pack the purchased items.

Han Tian stood behind preparing to pay. The uncle seemed unable to hold back any longer. He glanced at Han Tian and lowered his voice. "Young lady! I'm not trying to lecture you, but you brought your younger sister out, and she saw the mark on your face... Isn't that inappropriate?"

Mark on her face?!

She almost forgot! The little vixen had smacked her lips on her face several times!

...

Only now did Han Tian understand the meaning behind those passersby's stares. Her face flushed crimson instantly!

"It's not like that!" Meanwhile, the culprit showed absolutely no awareness of being a menace. She grabbed Han Tian's arm, a smile spreading across her face. "The mark on Sister's face is from my kiss..."

"Ugh..."

Mo Sang was definitely doing this on purpose!

Han Tian clenched her teeth, daring not to look at the uncle's dumbfounded face. Fearing the little vixen might say anything else, she simply covered the girl's mouth with her hand and dragged her quickly to the car.

Panting, Han Tian sat down in the car. As she wiped the mark off her face and turned around intending to thoroughly reprimand Mo Sang, she found the culprit's face already leaning close. The little vixen lowered her eyes, her gaze wet and slightly aggrieved...

She really couldn't handle Mo Sang like this!

Han Tian felt her heart soften into a puddle.

"Sister! You wiped away my mark..." The little vixen, dressed as a young girl, spoke in a husky voice.

Han Tian froze for a moment, instinctively sensing danger. However, the space inside the car was so cramped. In the next instant, Mo Sang leaned in once again, unceremoniously covering Han Tian's lips with her own.

"It's fine," Mo Sang gently bit Han Tian's lip, a flash of triumph crossing her eyes. "If you wiped it off once, I'll just mark it again..."
