"Oww…" Baiye clutched her stomach, a pained look on her face.
Only then did Lin Yuqing spare her a proper glance. "What's wrong?"
"Oww, my stomach hurts so much, and no one even cares, hmph…"
Lin Yuqing froze, then hurried over. "Is it really bad? Go lie down in the room first. I'll make some food; you should feel better after eating something." Lin Yuqing wanted to touch her but remembered she had just been petting the cat and stopped herself.
Lin Yuqing helped Xiao Ye back to the bedroom, then went to cook.
The little one lay triumphantly on the edge of the bed, poking the kitten's head with her finger. "See? I'm still the favorite~ You're still a little too green~ Hmph~"
"Meow~"
While cooking, Lin Yuqing started to mull things over. The more she thought, the more it felt wrong. The scent of orchids? A winter orchid? A strangely dressed woman?
Strange, it was all too strange!
"Meow~"
"How did you get in here?" Lin Yuqing started.
"Don't cause trouble. I need to cook for Xiao Ye. I don't have time to play with you."
"Xiao Ye, get up and eat something. You can sleep a little more after you've eaten. There's nothing much to do today, so just get some good rest."
"Mmm~ Auntie Lin, feed me~"
"How old are you?" Lin Yuqing shot her a helpless glance.
"Meow~" The kitten was biting at Lin Yuqing's pant leg again.
"You! You're not allowed to steal my Auntie Lin!" Baiye tugged its little ear and pushed it aside.
A thought stirred in Lin Yuqing's heart. This little one, was she jealous of a kitten? Was it finally her turn to be jealous?
"Be good, I'll play with you in a bit," she said, her tone exceptionally gentle.
"Auntie Lin, didn't you say you didn't like it…" Baiye pouted.
"Hm? This little thing is very cute. Why wouldn't I like it?"
"What about me! Compared to it!" Baiye's lips jutted out.
"Hmm… you're both equally cute."
Was this a fake Auntie Lin?!
Seeing the little one's completely baffled expression, Lin Yuqing was secretly delighted, though she didn't let it show on the surface. One could say she was being exceptionally wicked.
How could Baiye know that she was deliberately putting on an act? She was fuming, all interest in petting the cat gone. The more she looked at the little creature, the more it seemed like a little rival in love, one that was even gloating at her!
At first, she thought Auntie Lin's cat-petting was just a whim. But after two days, Baiye was truly starting to feel a sense of crisis. She even felt that this cat was planning to become the master of the house!
Auntie Lin had reached a point where she couldn't bear to part with it, holding it and doting on it all day long. Except for when they slept—she still wouldn't let the cat on the bed—the two were practically inseparable at all other times.
Baiye was on the verge of a breakdown. Auntie Lin even held the cat while they were eating. Xiao Ye burrowed in again, pulling the blanket over both of them. She climbed on top of Lin Yuqing, wrapping her arms around her neck. Her warm breath ghosted over Lin Yuqing's neck, making her startle and open her eyes fully.
What was going on…
Feeling the little one's wet little tongue licking her neck, Lin Yuqing felt a bit flustered. She had managed to restrain herself for so long, but this sudden move from the little one was truly a bit too tempting.
"What's wrong?" Lin Yuqing stroked her back, secretly smiling to herself. She could guess that it was because she had been neglecting her these past two days, and the little one was feeling upset.
Baiye didn't answer. She lifted her head and licked Lin Yuqing's lips, taking them into her mouth and biting down gently.
Lin Yuqing had to use all her strength to keep from reacting, and the restraint was agonizing.
Baiye released her. Still no reaction. Does Auntie Lin not love me anymore…
She blinked her big, aggrieved eyes at Lin Yuqing. "Meow~"

That sound was softer and sweeter than a real meow, with a hint of grievance mixed in. A thrill shot through Lin Yuqing's heart. She really wanted to… eat this adorable little kitten in one bite!

Baiye pursed her lips, her pretty face blushing. She shifted upward, moving closer to Lin Yuqing's ear. "Meow~ Meow~ Meow~"
The sounds made Lin Yuqing's heart itch. With a rush of heat to her head, the hand on the little one's waist unconsciously slipped under the waistband of her pants, squeezing the soft, full flesh of her bottom.

The little one's body seemed to have gotten a bit fuller. Or had it just been too long since she'd last touched her?

"Mmm~ Auntie Lin~" Baiye raised her arms and proactively took off her top. This was probably the first time the little one had ever been so forward.
"Hm? What are you trying to do?" Lin Yuqing suddenly stopped what she was doing and asked with a straight face.
Baiye froze. My clothes are off and you're asking me what I'm trying to do??? Your hands have already been so naughty, and you're still asking me what I'm doing!!!
Only then did Baiye belatedly realize she had stripped herself completely naked. It was so shameless…
She grew shy, raising her hands to cover her face and burying herself in Lin Yuqing's embrace, refusing to move, decisively playing the part of a turtle in its shell.

Lin Yuqing chuckled, hooking an arm around her chest and pulling her back into her embrace. She made the little one lean against her, her right hand naughtily caressing a little rosebud.

Lin Yuqing couldn't stop laughing. This girl could even get angry!
"Just one kiss." She shamelessly moved her head closer to the little rosebud.
"No kisses for you, go kiss your cat!"
She was so cute when she was angry! Her pout was so pronounced it could almost touch the sky!
"Really no kisses?" Lin Yuqing tried to negotiate in a gentle voice.
"No."
"Just one?"
"Go kiss the cat."
Seeing Auntie Lin's aggrieved expression, Baiye was already preparing to give in, a smile already forming on her face.
But then she heard…
"Alright then." Lin Yuqing sighed, let go of the little one, and got out of bed. A moment later, the sound of Lin Yuqing playing with the cat came from the living room.
"Meow~" And the sound of the kitten's happy meows…
Baiye… was completely dumbfounded, sitting on the bed for a long time without coming to her senses.
Was Auntie Lin serious?
"Meow meow, come, let Auntie give you a kiss~"
She really went to kiss the cat!!?
Baiye was furious. Forgetting to even put on her clothes, she jumped out of bed and ran to the living room in a few quick steps. "Lin Yuqing! You're not allowed to—ooh…"
The moment she stepped out of the bedroom, she was swept up into someone's arms. The little one let out a soft cry of alarm. When she collected herself, she saw Auntie Lin looking at her with eyes full of doting affection. And she hadn't been playing with the cat at all; the cat was still locked in its cage!
"Eh? You… you tricked me!" Baiye came to her senses. She did it on purpose! She deliberately wanted to see her get jealous!!
Lin Yuqing carried the little one back to the bed. Seeing her face, flushed red from either anger or embarrassment, she found it hilarious. She really would get jealous of a little cat! How adorable!
"Hmph!" Baiye huffed heavily, pulling the blanket over herself until she was completely covered, lying on her side and ignoring her.
Lin Yuqing moved next to her, slipping under the covers and wrapping her arms around her small body, having long since permanently deleted the word "restraint" from her dictionary.
"Go kiss your cat, don't bother me." The little one clearly couldn't back down now; she felt she had lost too much face.
"Really?" Lin Yuqing continued to tease her.
"Not jealous this time?"
"Go on, go!"
"Then I'm really going." She started to get up.
Baiye didn't move. If you want to kiss it, then go ahead. I'm not falling for your trick!
Sure enough, a moment later, Lin Yuqing relented. She picked the little one up and placed her on her lap. "Alright, don't be angry anymore."
She moved closer and planted a gentle kiss by the little one's ear. "Its meows aren't nearly as nice to listen to as yours~"
