DDT - Chapter 179
Chapter 179: Grand Finale (God Realm 2)
Perhaps their minds had been clouded by victory after victory in recent years. The trepidation they once felt when facing the Main God had long since vanished. After successfully seizing the godheads of other deities through repeated wars and schemes, the power surging through them and the sight of other gods turning to dust before their eyes had taught these emboldened deities a lesson: no god's power was unobtainable. The power of the godheads accumulated in their bodies was already several times greater than before. Having fought their way to this point, they had become beings capable of changing the very heavens and earth of the God Realm with a mere gesture.
The stolen godheads could not be fully assimilated, and their exposed skin was densely covered with the markings of various godheads. Looking at these symbols of their own power, the gods regained their confidence. With such formidable strength, a mere Main God was nothing to worry about.
A powerful storm of divine energy gathered in the main hall of the Main God's temple. The elders of the various divine beast clans hurriedly conjured shields to protect their people, afraid of being caught in the crossfire of this divine conflict.
The gods' eyes glinted with malice, and they had no time to spare for the rabble below. As the world-destroying energy shot straight toward the Main God on her throne, the divine beasts gathered in the hall couldn't help but worry. The sheer force of these rebellious gods was truly alarming.
In a room adjacent to the main hall, Yi Shuhan, who had been sitting cross-legged in a daze, heard the massive commotion outside. Unable to resist, she ran to the door and pulled it open a crack to peer out. A dazzling light, a mixture of chaotic energies, rushed toward the golden figure seated on the divine throne. She gasped in suspense. Even though she had achieved some success in the cultivation world, feeling the power surging from those ferocious-looking people from afar made her realize—this was the God Realm. The cultivators of the lower realms were simply incomparable. Yi Shuhan's grip tightened unconsciously, her knuckles turning white.
She stared intently at that golden figure.
Just as the torrent of immense power was about to strike the throne, the Main God made no visible move. Instead, a blindingly brilliant golden light erupted. The golden divine power, unique to the Main God of the God Realm, swiftly devoured the ferocious attack. Then, without a moment's hesitation, it sent the gods who had launched the full-force assault flying.
The gods had already flown close to the throne, but the formidable power of the Main God left them no room to resist. They were sent hurtling backward through the air, across the entire length of the main hall, and slammed into the wall at the far end. A sickening crunch of shattering bone echoed clearly throughout the hall.
Disheveled and battered, the gods fell from the wall one by one, landing on the temple floor with dull thuds. The temple walls, fortified by the Main God's blessing upon her return, were completely unscathed. In contrast, these great figures of the God Realm, who had seized countless godheads, had their supposedly indestructible bones utterly shattered. None of them had suffered such a blow since the day they were born. The fractured divine bones stripped them of all ability to attack. One of the weaker gods, after letting out a few heart-wrenching screams of pain, simply dissolved into specks of fluorescent light and vanished within the temple. Everyone present was stunned by this scene. The leader of one of the major factions that had carved up the God Realm had been annihilated, body and soul, in a single exchange with the Main God. After his divine body dissipated, the godheads he had carried exploded on the spot and vanished without a trace.
Yes, as the true master of the God Realm, the Main God had no need for the power of these godheads that the other deities fought so desperately for. The Main God was the absolute power of the God Realm. Only at this moment did the rebellious gods truly grasp this fact.
Seeing that the golden figure was unharmed and had even repelled the enemy, Yi Shuhan's racing heart finally settled. At this moment, she felt a little lost. She had followed her lover all the way to this God Realm, witnessed such magnificent architecture, and seen her lover's absolute suppression of these beings with terrifying cultivation. Being so clever, she quickly realized that her lover was a pivotal figure in this supreme God Realm, holding an extremely high status.
This was a true, unreachable god. How could a mere mortal like her be so fortunate as to be in love with such a powerful deity?
Even in the cultivation world, her cultivation hadn't even touched the Tribulation Crossing stage. The immense disparity in their statuses filled her with dread. She didn't want to lose her. A heavy sense of powerlessness washed over Yi Shuhan. She pressed a hand firmly against her heart. The feeling was so familiar, as if she had experienced it long, long ago.
But what could she have experienced? She was just a mortal who, by a stroke of luck, had met that distant golden figure again and again. She didn't even know her lover's real name.
But, when her Chi Chi left that world, she had taken her along. Didn't that mean her divine lover still had some affection for her?
Yi Shuhan didn't dare to think too deeply. She closed the door and returned to her original spot, utterly dejected, with no idea what fate awaited her.
Chi Junluo sat upon her divine throne for the first time in a long while. With her memories and power restored, she easily subdued these overconfident gods. Destroying the God Realm was a grave crime. Slaughtering one's own kind for the sake of so-called godhead power was an even graver one. It seemed these arrogant fools had completely forgotten the meaning and reason for the Main God's existence. The first War of the Gods had brought the Main God into being. Chi Junluo felt that she had only been doing her duty, driving the warring gods back to their own territories. Other than stationing the divine beast clans, who shared her origin, at the borders of the gods' domains to prevent their subordinates from causing trouble, she had not placed many restrictions on these prideful deities, nor had she forced them to fulfill their duties properly. She never expected them to slowly grow so audacious, to learn to take a mile when given an inch.
To think they dared to plot against her, the magnificent Main God.
Chi Junluo sneered inwardly, but her divine body was shrouded in golden divine power, and no one could see her expression.
The war in the God Realm had been raging for several hundred years. The various gods had resorted to all sorts of methods for power and territory, even abducting the first-generation Heavenly Daos she had personally cultivated and using them as tools to dominate the God Realm.
Her departure from the God Realm this time was precisely to expose the troublemakers behind the scenes, giving her a reason to eradicate them.
Chi Junluo tapped her right index finger on the armrest of her throne. In the next second, a powerful divine pressure erupted from the throne shrouded in golden mist, spreading across the entire God Realm at a terrifying speed within moments.
Wherever the Main God's might reached, every god and their subordinates were forced to their knees in awe. As for the weak cannon fodder recruited by the various gods to supplement their forces, they were annihilated, body and soul, by a single brush with the Main God's pressure. The remaining gods, who had received the news of the Main God's return, were now pinned to the ground by her divine might, their hearts filled with terror. Beyond their fear, they were furious. That person had clearly promised that the Main God had been dealt with, her soul scattered. So how could she have just returned today?!
Those gods who had casually pledged allegiance to others because of their weak divine power and desire to avoid the war were now horrified. The Main God's pressure lingered for a long time before slowly dissipating. Before it faded, the Main God issued her first decree since her return: all existing gods in the God Realm were to report to the Main God Hall in the shortest possible time!
The Main God did not specify a time frame, which made the various gods even more anxious. The alliance of gods used their fastest divine messengers to rush into the main hall one after another.
Every god who entered the temple saw the leaders who had been defeated at the far end of the hall, pinned to the ground by the Main God's pressure. Seeing their faces, covered in godhead markings, turn red from the immense force, all the gods knew that the Main God was truly enraged this time.
Soon, a dark mass of gods was kneeling in the center of the hall. Chi Junluo didn't waste time on pleasantries. Her display today was meant to grind down the arrogance in the hearts of these self-important deities.
The gods who lay like dead dogs at the end of the hall floated into the air, hovering above the heads of the kneeling deities. The gods didn't dare to look up, but they secretly used their divine sense to observe the Main God's actions. While they were still speculating about her intentions, the gods above them suddenly exploded in the next second, without even a chance to scream. They quickly turned into a pile of ash that scattered in the air, and the godheads they had plundered floated one by one toward the golden figure on the throne. An immense amount of divine power, beyond the imagination of the assembled gods, was devoured by the Main God.
Chi Junluo had no interaction with these gods. With a mere thought, she directly seized seventy percent of their power. As the vast divine energy was brutally plundered by the Main God, a cold sweat broke out on the backs of the gods for the first time. The absolute suppression of power in the God Realm, the direct extraction of over seventy percent of their divine energy, was the most direct and brutal way to make these self-important gods realize the true gap between themselves and the Main God. The Main God's wrath had truly fallen upon them. They could well imagine that if the Main God truly wanted them dead, their complete annihilation would be just a thought away. This time, they had really gone too far.
Redrawing the territories and positions of the surviving gods took up a considerable amount of Chi Junluo's time. She was even starting to feel a little annoyed. These matters were simply a waste of her time. Her former self would never have been troubled or agitated by such trivial things. After traveling through several lower-dimensional worlds and experiencing different lives, she no longer seemed as detached and emotionless as before.
Perhaps her former self was just a Main God who only knew how to perform her tedious duties. Now, she was more like a living being with seven emotions and six desires. Not to mention, she even had a lover. If she had thought about this in the past, she would have found it utterly absurd.
It seemed many things had changed.
Chi Junluo glanced distractedly at the closed door in the corner of the main hall and frowned slightly. It seemed her little darling hadn't fully recovered her memories yet.
By the time Chi Junluo finally settled all the matters and the divine beast clans had received their orders and returned with their assigned gods to their territories, the Main God's temple was once again empty. Chi Junluo dispersed the divine power concealing her face and body. Looking at the empty hall, she felt a mix of emotions.
Yi Shuhan obviously had no time to care about what happened in the great hall outside her room. A quarter of an hour ago, a black and white array had suddenly appeared on the empty floor beside her, and the Chaos Beast that had been by her lover's side in the lower worlds leaped out of it.
Unlike the aloof creature she had first met, the moment this Chaos Beast jumped out and saw her, its eyes inexplicably shone with joy. It then lunged at the still-dazed Yi Shuhan. Just as the startled Yi Shuhan was about to defend herself, the Chaos Beast zipped into her arms, tilted its head up, and began licking her face.
Yi Shuhan: ???
This Chaos Beast wasn't a beast, it was a sycophant...
For the rest of the time, until the meeting outside concluded, Yi Shuhan was busy placating the suddenly very enthusiastic Chaos Beast.
With a bang, the large door in front of her opened on its own. Chi Junluo's very familiar voice came from outside. "Shuhan, come out."
The tone was completely devoid of the familiarity they once shared, replaced by a cold, emotionless distance.
Yi Shuhan stood up and walked outside. The Chaos Beast, which had been fawning over her for a long time, shrank to a small size and obediently perched on her shoulder.
When she entered the main hall, the person on the throne had already dismissed the golden light and was waiting for her by a passage to the right of the throne. Only now did Yi Shuhan see her lover's true appearance in the God Realm. The woman before her was half a head taller than herself, with long, wavy golden hair cascading down her back. Her deep blue eyes betrayed no emotion. Her face was about eighty percent similar to the Chi Junluo in her memory. Strangely, she was wearing a blue and white tracksuit from the technological era, which seemed completely out of place in the ancient, divine setting.
As she approached, Chi Junluo gave a slight nod, gesturing for Yi Shuhan to follow, then turned and walked down the passage behind the throne. Yi Shuhan looked at the face that was once full of smiles in her memory, now so cold it could freeze water. She lowered her gaze in disappointment and followed.
Perhaps Chi Junluo preferred the pleasure of walking, as she didn't use her divine power to teleport them to their destination within the temple. Yi Shuhan followed Chi Junluo through the winding corridors of the temple for a good half hour.
Finally, Chi Junluo stopped in front of a massive, incredibly heavy-looking door.
Sensing the arrival of the temple's master, the heavy divine doors slowly opened to either side. Yi Shuhan followed Chi Junluo inside, and the doors closed silently behind them. Yi Shuhan glanced at them out of the corner of her eye but didn't pay them much mind.
The space behind the door, much like the main hall, was far larger on the inside than it appeared from the outside. It was a room with no visible end. To the left, right, and far ahead, the light gradually dimmed into a hazy expanse of floating white mist. In the very center of this vast space, a person was bound tightly by golden chains, kneeling on the floor.
She followed Chi Junluo's steps until they stood before the person. While waiting in the room earlier, Yi Shuhan had already deduced from the events outside that Chi Junluo was the master of this God Realm, and this massive temple was one of her divine artifacts. It was clear that the person kneeling before them with disheveled hair was a prisoner Chi Junluo had captured.
Hearing footsteps stop in front of him, the person who had been bowing his head slowly looked up at the two newcomers.
The kneeling person appeared to be a gentle and refined man. He raised his head, his silver-gray eyes sizing them up before he lowered his head again with a cold snort.
Chi Junluo said nothing, but a golden bolt of lightning suddenly appeared above the man's head and struck him viciously. The powerful divine energy instantly charred half of his body. The man only grunted in pain. In the next second, the charred flesh fell away, revealing a perfectly intact body underneath, even his clothes meticulously restored.
Yi Shuhan marveled inwardly. This person was indeed formidable.
"To be so concerned with your image even at death's door, truly admirable, my dear god," Chi Junluo said, her voice devoid of any emotion.
"You flatter me, Lord Main God." The man didn't raise his head again, his voice slightly hoarse.
Chi Junluo sneered. "As the god who governs wisdom in the God Realm, you truly play your cards well, plotting to take the entire realm for yourself."
"Not as well as the Lord Main God, who had every move planned in advance," the man said, clearly aware of the fate that awaited him.
Chi Junluo glanced back at Yi Shuhan, who was obviously not in the right state of mind. A flicker of anger crossed her eyes. She looked back at the kneeling Wisdom God, and two more bolts of lightning struck down from above.
The man painstakingly mobilized the little divine power he had left to restore his body once more. He finally raised his head, forcing a strange smile. "After your travels, Lord Main God, your temperament has certainly changed. The emotionless Main God of the past would never have imagined she would become so irrational. Haha!"
"And you, my dear god, are acting more and more like a madman," Chi Junluo said, taking two steps forward and kicking the culprit behind all this.
I really have changed a lot, Chi Junluo thought. Her former self, who had been the Main God for many years, would never have done something like trapping someone and torturing them with divine lightning again and again without granting them a quick death.
After experiencing the colorful variety of different worlds, her way of thinking had slowly changed.
Yi Shuhan remained silent behind her. After the other gods had left, Chi Junluo had given the task of restoring Yi Shuhan's divine soul to the Heavenly Dao, E Feng. After all, Yi Shuhan's divine soul had been shattered while she was the heroine of a world under E Feng's charge. Only by bringing the collected fragments back to the original world could it be perfectly restored. Cause and effect.
Before E Feng brought back the complete divine soul, she wanted to hear the final words of the culprit before her.
The man before them, who valued his image so highly, was the God Realm's Wisdom God. He was exceptionally skilled in conspiracy and intrigue. Compared to the many straightforward and rough gods of the realm, he was indeed extremely cunning.
But he was also extremely arrogant.
He looked down on the other gods, so he stirred up conflict among them. With just a few clever moves, he triggered the first War of the Gods. As the flames of war escalated and the gods were consumed by bloodlust, the entire God Realm was moving in the direction he desired. He was waiting at home to reap the rewards. But he never expected that the God Realm, which hadn't produced a new god in nearly ten thousand years, would give birth to the strongest god in history because of the war he had instigated—the Main God, who controlled the laws themselves. Just as the God Realm was about to fall into his hands, the sudden appearance of the Main God threw everything into chaos. His painstaking plans became a joke, and all his progress was undone. Fortunately, the newly appointed Main God had no interest in investigating the cause of the war. The new Main God had no experience, no understanding of strategy, and no grasp of the hearts of others. Her method of handling the war was simple, crude, and direct. Without a second thought, she used her absolute, formidable divine power to suppress the war across the entire God Realm.
The Wisdom God was suppressed by that power. Although he had no strength to resist, his rebellious spirit only grew stronger. He was determined to make this Main God who had ruined his grand plans pay the price. As a god born from the God Realm itself, he had an endless lifespan to slowly lay his plans. He was tired of being on equal footing with the other gods, and he could not tolerate a newcomer like the Main God standing above him. He would be the sole monarch of the God Realm.
Chi Junluo and Yi Shuhan waited quietly. The Wisdom God raised his head, his gaze shifting between the two of them. He understood that he had reached a point of no return. His pride would not allow him to bow his head.
Chi Junluo immediately sensed the Wisdom God's subtle movements. The golden chains binding him flared with light, instantly suppressing the divine power he had tried to mobilize. The man kneeling on the ground rolled his eyes in frustration.
Chi Junluo's patience was wearing thin. She crossed her arms and delivered an ultimatum. "My dear god, do you underestimate the Main God of the God Realm? You had best not try to detonate your godhead."
Seeing the fire in the Wisdom God's eyes, Chi Junluo curled her lip into the same cold smile he had worn earlier. "You've always cared about your reputation. I imagine you wouldn't want me to search your soul. After all, for a deity to have their soul stripped bare before death would be quite humiliating, wouldn't it?"
"Or perhaps, while I'm searching your soul, I could provide a live broadcast for all the other gods, let everyone see what secrets are hidden in the depths of the Wisdom God's soul?"
The Wisdom God was so angry he could have coughed up blood, but he was helpless. He could only turn his head away in frustration and reluctantly recount his story.
The Wisdom God was widely acknowledged as the most intelligent in the God Realm. Coupled with his penchant for putting on an act, he had always maintained the image of a kind older brother, an elegant nobleman, a warm and caring god. Furthermore, he was tight-lipped and never revealed others' secrets, and he always offered effective advice when others confided in him. Thus, all the gods in the realm, whenever they were troubled or had conflicts, liked to seek his guidance. He was once the most popular god in the realm. He had even remained aloof during both Wars of the Gods, never participating in any disputes, and the other gods had tacitly excluded him from their conflicts.
Being in such a position of infinite trust and, for the most part, being overlooked, and knowing so many secrets, he laid out his plans flawlessly. Every pawn's every move was perfectly arranged. Every god who came to him for help or comfort was used by him without the slightest suspicion.
This must be what they call being sold and still helping the seller count the money, Chi Junluo thought.
Because the first War of the Gods had destroyed tens of thousands of years of his hard work, he had added the Main God to his list of targets for elimination.
What followed was the beginning of a very cliché story.
The Void God, who had always enjoyed traveling between different planes, happened to miss the first War of the Gods. Having already defeated all challengers, the Void God had never deigned to participate in such boring disputes. Because of her formidable strength, no god dared to make a move on her territory even when she was away. The Wisdom God's original plan was to consolidate his power and use the momentum of the war to dominate the God Realm. Even if the Void God was powerful, she probably wouldn't want to confront the entire God Realm afterward.
Unfortunately, the Main God was born, and he had to temporarily halt his plans and start over.
But then, the Void God, while traveling, heard that a new, incredibly powerful Main God had been born in the God Realm, one who had suppressed all other gods with a single appearance. The Void God's combative spirit was instantly ignited, and she tore through the void to return to the God Realm.
The Void God challenged the Main God and was, unsurprisingly, defeated and returned wounded. After healing, she challenged her again. Then she was sent flying by the Main God again, wounded, healed, and challenged again, only to fail again...
The plot was simple and melodramatic, but this part of the story was personally verified by the Main God, Chi Junluo. When the Wisdom God reached this point, she even nodded, confirming that it was true. Beside her, Yi Shuhan listened to the story of this Void God, who had left such a significant mark on her lover's life, and couldn't help but feel a pang of jealousy.
The Main God was young back then, but because she was born of necessity, her thinking was rigid, and her beliefs were hard to change. To put it bluntly, she was stubborn. Since the Void God had not participated in the War of the Gods, the Main God of that time did not punish her. But as the Void God came to her door again and again seeking a beating, she responded with her full power each time, mercilessly sending this annoying little sprite flying.
The Void God had found something more interesting than traveling. In the entire God Realm, only the Void God had the courage to ask the Main God for a beating. Over time, even the stubborn Main God grew tired of the constant harassment.
This part was also confirmed with a nod from Chi Junluo.
The Wisdom God truly was the confidant of the God Realm. Such eloquence, such powerful storytelling skills, were truly wasted. Chi Junluo even suspected that the bored man had spent those years squatting in the bushes of the Main God's territory, watching the show.
The rest of the story was simple. Over the long course of her interactions with the Main God, the Void God gradually fell in love with her. But the Main God was like an iron tree that wouldn't blossom. She ignored the Void God's direct confessions of love. Yet, because the Void God was the most unique and unconventional being in the entire God Realm, the only one who did not fear her, she never completely drove her away, even though the Void God chattered incessantly by her side. But she remained indifferent to the Void God's declarations of love.
The Void God, who was so aloof and proud when facing other gods, finally swallowed her pride and went to the Wisdom God's territory, hoping for guidance from the man with the best reputation in the God Realm.
How could he refuse an opportunity that fell right into his lap?
While advising the Void God and playing the part of a caring confidant, the Wisdom God quickly began to set his pieces in motion.
The relationship between the Void God and the Main God was gradually changing. The Main God grew accustomed to the Void God's company and began to accept her advances, but she always maintained a polite distance, observing propriety. Whenever the Void God reached out, the Main God would deliberately take a half-step back, silently refusing all requests for physical contact.
This secretly angered the Void God. She followed the advice of the Wisdom God, who had read countless books from myriad worlds, trying to get the Main God to accept her. But she didn't realize that the advice given by the Wisdom God, who had already figured out the Main God's personality, was having the opposite effect.
As the Void God's anger continued to rise, the Wisdom God tactfully suggested that as a god, she should know when to cut her losses. What wasn't hers would never be hers, and she shouldn't hang herself on a single crooked tree. The Wisdom God refused to help the Void God make any more "useless attempts" and said he needed to leave for a while. If the Void God still hadn't given up, she could wait for him in his study.
Repeatedly pushed away by her beloved, the Void God once again went to the Wisdom God's territory to wait. In his study, she found many books treasured on the shelves, including one titled Domineering CEO's Forced Love.
The Void God, new to the emotional literature of lower-world humans, was amazed by the methods of the CEO and the protagonist in the treasured book.
That very day, she carved out a piece of her own godhead. The deep blue, gem-like godhead was polished smooth by the Void God. For aesthetic appeal, she even took out her treasured golden divine stone, ground it into powder, and carefully inscribed it onto the deep blue godhead stone. She then used a chain crafted from exquisite divine power to make it into a beautiful pendant and gave it to the Main God.
Hearing this, Chi Junluo pulled out a deep blue pendant with golden patterns from around her neck. Yi Shuhan's heart soured with jealousy, and she felt a sense of daze. She pursed her lips and said nothing.
After that, the Wisdom God arranged various coincidences to provoke the misguided Void God.
He successfully hinted to the Void God that she should make a move on the Main God, who was completely unguarded around her. By sealing the Main God's godhead and memories and taking her to a small world in the lower realms, where the Main God would be like an ordinary person, the Void God could make her experience her emotions, and she would naturally come to understand love.
The moment the Void God finished sealing the Main God and sending her to the lower realm, the Wisdom God struck with all his might, sending her crashing down as well. The Void God, already weakened from carving out her own godhead, was nearly killed by the full-force sneak attack. Until the moment she fell into the lower realm and lost consciousness, she couldn't believe that someone she trusted so much had attacked her. Only in that final moment did she realize: hadn't she done something just as terrible to the Main God?
The lower world the Wisdom God had arranged for them to fall into was a relatively weak and backward small world recently assigned to the first-generation Heavenly Dao, E Feng, who had just been pardoned by the Main God. The small world was full of loopholes, and the Wisdom God easily replaced the original world's heroine with the Void God. He then placed the Main God into a pre-set plot, guiding the amnesiac Main God step by step to the top of the high-rise building owned by the heroine. He would use the power of the Main God's body to smash the Void God to pieces. And the Heavenly Dao E Feng, whose previous world had been destroyed by some unknown loophole and who had just gotten a new one, would once again experience the tragedy of a world's destruction. Already disheartened, she would probably choose to self-destruct her godhead.
Yi Shuhan felt a chill run down her spine as she listened.
By the end of the story, she had clearly figured out who the other protagonist of this long tale—the Void God—was.
Chi Junluo sensed the emotional turmoil in Yi Shuhan beside her and sighed softly.
The Wisdom God had, albeit reluctantly, finished his eloquent tale. Chi Junluo had already figured out most of it herself. These words were actually meant for the other party involved—the Void God.
Clearly, Yi Shuhan, having just discovered her identity, was still having trouble accepting it. The amount of information was perhaps a bit too much.
Although Yi Shuhan had traveled through so many strange and wonderful worlds, she had always thought of herself as an ordinary human girl. She never expected the truth to be even more fantastical.
She looked at Chi Junluo in a daze. If this story was true, what unforgivable things had she done to her lover?!
The Wisdom God licked his lips, his calculating gaze fixed on the Void God who had yet to recover her memories. In any case, failure was failure. It didn't matter if he died today. As long as his plan could serve one last purpose and sow discord between this damned pair of gods, it would be enough.
If he was going to die, no one else would get to live in peace!
The heavy doors behind them, which had been closed all this time, began to open. It was the Heavenly Dao, E Feng, who had restored Yi Shuhan's divine soul as quickly as possible and rushed to deliver it.
With the divine power granted by the Main God, E Feng had quickly restored the operation of his hard-won small world. His heart was finally at ease.
With a raise of her hand, Chi Junluo summoned a deep blue pearl from E Feng's storage bag into her palm.
She didn't rush to return the divine soul to Yi Shuhan. Instead, she leisurely glanced at the Wisdom God on the floor, who was reveling in the success of his scheme, then turned to look into Yi Shuhan's eyes, which were shimmering with shock and disbelief. She said earnestly, "My dear god, do you really think that you've at least managed to scheme against Shuhan and me, that even if your plan ultimately failed, you've still won as long as you could annoy us?"
"It's true that I never guarded myself against Shuhan,"
Indescribable emotions swirled in Yi Shuhan's eyes, mostly self-blame and guilt for the harm her pre-amnesia actions had caused the person she loved.
"I knew what Shuhan was thinking all along. I knew about the little things she was doing behind my back," Chi Junluo said, looking gently into Yi Shuhan's eyes and slowly closing the distance between them. There was not a trace of blame in her gaze. "I just thought, perhaps I couldn't give Shuhan the response she wanted at the time, so why not go along with her wishes, leave this boring God Realm together, and try to experience an unknown emotion."
"If I didn't love Shuhan, why would I have allowed her clumsy attempts?"
Chi Junluo pulled Yi Shuhan into her arms. With a circulation of divine power in her hand, she gently returned the deep blue divine soul to Yi Shuhan's body.
She didn't let go of the person standing stunned in her embrace. She whispered softly, "I absolutely adore the lively and vibrant Shuhan. The very first time she confessed her feelings to me, I secretly tied a red cord I got from the Moon God to her. I gave Shuhan a permanent buff long ago."
The person in her arms trembled slightly. The divine soul returned, and the sealed memories of the God Realm came flooding back like a tide.
Yi Shuhan was no longer frozen in her lover's arms. She raised her hands and hugged the person before her tightly. She didn't want to lose her lover again.
Perhaps it was karma. She had caused her lover to lose her memories, leaving the God Realm without a ruler and allowing chaos to reign. That must be why she had to watch her lover leave her again and again in the reincarnation of one world after another.
Thinking about how her childish actions had caused her Chi Chi so much suffering, not only having to play along with her nonsense but also having to fall from a high place time and time again, Yi Shuhan's heart ached.
Her brain must have been kicked by a donkey back then to do something so stupid...
The Heavenly Dao, who had been watching from the side, scratched his head. At the beginning, when the situation was unclear, he had said so many disrespectful things to the Lord Main God and even instigated her to jump off a building. The Void God must never find out about this, or she would surely skin him alive!
Chi Junluo comforted the weeping Yi Shuhan in her arms, then turned to meet the Wisdom God's dumbfounded eyes, a faint smile playing on her lips.
The Wisdom God's mind raced. He suddenly understood something. His eyes widened, but before he could speak, he was pierced by thousands of golden rays. His divine body disintegrated, and along with his eyes, which shot out with intense unwillingness and disbelief, he turned to dust and scattered in the air.
Chi Junluo didn't even glance at E Feng. She hurriedly cradled the sobbing Shuhan in her arms, and with a surge of divine power at her feet, a golden light flashed, and the two of them appeared in the empty side hall.
Seeing that the Main God didn't intend to pursue past matters, E Feng breathed a sigh of relief. He quickly left the temple and hurried back to his small world. The world was newly recovered from its injuries and needed his care.
In the vast, empty temple, Chi Junluo held Yi Shuhan and fell onto the large, comfortable throne adjusted by her divine power. She stroked Yi Shuhan's head, tilted her own slightly, and whispered in her little darling's ear, "Long time no see, my dear Lord Void God. How about we start our reunion with some throne play?"
