Seeing her like this, Lin Yuqing immediately took two steps forward, grabbed Gu Baiye's arm, and turned her around. Without a word, she lifted her nightdress.
"Auntie Lin!" Gu Baiye was mortified. Beneath the nightdress, there was only a pair of panties…
"What is this?" When Lin Yuqing saw the wound on Gu Baiye's waist, her expression grew even darker.
Lin Yuqing pressed Gu Baiye down onto the desk, turned on the lamp, and carefully examined the injury. "Were you pierced by something? What was it? A nail?"
Gu Baiye saw she could no longer hide it. "It was… a thumbtack…"
Lin Yuqing gestured for Xiao Ye to stand up, then grabbed her shoulders and turned her around to face her. "How did you get hurt?"
Gu Baiye frantically pulled at her nightdress, wishing she could wrap herself up completely in the fabric.
"Speak!" Lin Yuqing raised her voice, and the sudden shout made Xiao Ye jump.

"Xia Xiaozi." Lin Yuqing turned and walked out the door, standing by the railing and looking downstairs.
"What is it, Qing Jie?"
"Get Doctor Zhang over here. Xiao Ye was pierced by a nail. She needs a tetanus shot." Lin Yuqing was well-versed in this matter; after all, she had been pierced by a nail before while filming.
"What? She got hurt?" Xia Xiaozi was stunned for a moment. "No way, she didn't say anything." She quickly ran upstairs.
Xia Xiaozi rushed into the room. "Xiao Ye, what happened?"
"Auntie… I'm fine. It's just a small wound. You don't have to worry."
Xia Xiaozi took one look and frowned as well. "How could it have pierced you there…"
She hurried downstairs to make a call, then went to her own room to grab some standard ointment. When she returned to Xiao Ye's room and pushed the door, she found it was locked from the inside.
"Xiao Ye? Why did you lock the door?"
Inside the room, Gu Baiye was also completely bewildered. She, too, wanted to know why Auntie Lin had locked the door.

Seeing that Xiao Ye was really crying, Lin Yuqing's heart softened, and her dark expression faded. "Alright, stop crying. You're a big girl now, stop sniffling."
Gu Baiye was still sobbing softly, sniffling.
Lin Yuqing released her hands, her brow furrowed. "Does it hurt a lot?" As she spoke, she lifted the little one's nightdress. Before she could do anything else, the girl scrambled up, went around her, got onto the bed, and pulled the covers over herself, hiding completely.
Lin Yuqing didn't realize she was overcome with shame; she just thought the girl was sulking and ignoring her. She suddenly felt a sense of helplessness. Wasn't she doing all this because she was worried about her?
Looking at the little one completely buried under the covers, Lin Yuqing worried she might suffocate. Besides, if her wound came into contact with sweat, it would probably hurt a lot.
Lin Yuqing lowered the air conditioner's temperature and sat on the edge of the bed. The little one ignored her, still whimpering softly. After a few moments of awkwardness, Lin Yuqing reached out and gently stroked the girl's back. If Xia Xiaozi found out she had made the little one cry, she would never hear the end of it…
"Xiao Ye?" Lin Yuqing was at a loss. She had no idea how to coax her. After an awkward standoff of about ten minutes, Xia Xiaozi knocked on the door.
"Qing Jie, open the door. Doctor Zhang is here."
Just as Lin Yuqing was about to get up, she felt a tug on her sleeve. She looked down and saw that the little one had grabbed her cuff at some point and had poked half her face out from under the covers. Her large eyes were wet, with tears still clinging to the corners. The sight made Lin Yuqing feel an inexplicable urge to pull her into her arms and comfort her.
"I don't want a shot…" Xiao Ye's pink lips parted slightly as she spoke in a tiny voice. Fortunately, Lin Yuqing's hearing was good.
"How can you not get a shot? A tetanus shot is a must."
As she started to move, the little one tugged her sleeve again, as if pleading. Lin Yuqing sighed inwardly. She really couldn't resist this. Why hadn't she ever known the girl was afraid of needles?
She took Xiao Ye's hand, making her let go, then walked to the head of the bed and gently stroked her head. "It's okay, don't be afraid." She soothed the little one in what she believed was the gentlest voice she had used in her entire life.
"Qing Jie?"
Urged on by Xia Xiaozi, Lin Yuqing finally opened the door.
Xia Xiaozi and a female doctor carrying a medical kit entered the room. "Qing Jie." Zhang Ting greeted Lin Yuqing, then glanced at the little one huddled under the covers. It wasn't the first time she had seen this girl in Lin Yuqing's home, but out of professional confidentiality as a private doctor, she had never curiously asked about their relationship.
"What's wrong with Xiao Baiye?" Zhang Ting, a gentle smile on her face, walked to the bedside and gently patted the small figure under the blanket.
Gu Baiye revealed half of her head.
"Oh my, why are you crying?"
"Auntie Zhang…"
"Yes, I heard you were injured. Where does it hurt? Let Auntie have a look, okay?"
Zhang Ting's tone, like she was coaxing a child, made Gu Baiye feel mortified. She wasn't a child anymore!
Gu Baiye nodded, seeing the situation clearly. If she didn't obediently cooperate now, she would be forced to be obedient!
She sat up on her own, turned her back to Zhang Ting, and deliberately used the blanket to cover her bottom. She even shot a glance at Lin Yuqing, which made the latter freeze. That look was exactly like one you'd give a heartless scoundrel…
Gu Baiye lifted a corner of her nightdress. Zhang Ting leaned in for a closer look. The wound wasn't large. "Did you see the nail that pierced you? How long was it? Was it rusty?"

Lin Yuqing sat cross-legged, letting Xiao Ye lean diagonally against her. Her right arm was around her waist, while her left hand held Xiao Ye's left hand and presented it to Zhang Ting. The girl had been in a daze. Just now, when Zhang Ting said she needed to do a skin test to check for allergies to the medication, she hadn't reacted at all. Lin Yuqing thought she was scared, so she decided to hold her.
"If you're scared, don't look. It'll be over in a second," Lin Yuqing said softly.
Gu Baiye was stunned for a moment. Looking at Auntie Lin's beautiful profile, she was about to swoon when a sharp pain shot through her wrist. "Hiss…" The pain made her frown deeply, and tears almost welled up in her eyes again. She subconsciously tried to pull her hand back, but Auntie Lin held it firmly.
"There, it's over." Lin Yuqing quickly soothed her, frowning as well. This skin test was truly inhumane. Watching the needle pierce that delicate wrist and a pea-sized bump immediately form as the medicine was injected—it looked painful just to watch.
The moment Zhang Ting pulled out the needle, Lin Yuqing immediately brought the little one's wrist to her lips and blew on it gently. "It's okay, be good. It'll stop hurting in a moment."
"Auntie Lin…" Gu Baiye called out in a very soft voice, her cheeks flushing slightly. A Auntie Lin like this was so warm.
"Hm?"
"Can we… um…" Gu Baiye trailed off, secretly glancing at the other two people in the room. Her pitiful little look made them feel completely superfluous!
Lin Yuqing lowered her head, placing her ear next to Gu Baiye's mouth.
"Can we get the shot a little later…"
"Hm? Why?" Lin Yuqing was very curious.

The two of them were ushered out, looking completely bewildered.
Seeing them leave, Gu Baiye's anxious heart finally settled, and she let out a quiet, exaggerated sigh of relief.
Lin Yuqing smiled and looked down at her, her face unconsciously filled with doting affection. She continued to hold Gu Baiye just like that, not feeling that there was anything inappropriate about it.
The little one only had to look up to see Auntie Lin's perfect profile and the beautiful curve of her lips. She couldn't be happier, and she couldn't help but linger in Auntie Lin's arms for a while longer.
"Let me see," Lin Yuqing said suddenly.
"Hm? What?"
"See if there are still any marks." How strange. Wasn't she just worried about having marks on her bottom from the spanking? How did she forget so quickly?

She obediently turned over, burying her face in the crook of Auntie Lin's arm and using her hands to cover her face.
This small action made Lin Yuqing find her very amusing. This girl really was easily embarrassed.
As Lin Yuqing reached down to pull off her panties, Gu Baiye indeed buried her face even deeper. Lin Yuqing glanced down. Tsk, this little one's peachy bottom was really quite something—plump and tender, and those fair, slender legs… Tsk, how had she never noticed she had such a good figure before?

"Let's just make it our secret, so no one else knows, okay?"
Lin Yuqing smiled. "Okay." Hmm, now she and the little one had a secret together~
"Then you can't bring this up ever again either."
"Mm… alright." To protect the little one's sensitive pride, Lin Yuqing compromised.
"Also…" Gu Baiye sat up, looking at Lin Yuqing a bit nervously.

Lin Yuqing was taken aback, not expecting such a request. The little one seemed especially clingy today.

"Then come to my room. I can't sleep in other beds."
"Really?!" Gu Baiye was so excited she sat bolt upright in bed. "Ouch…" The movement pulled at the wound on her back.
"Be careful. Why are you so clumsy?" Lin Yuqing chided her. "Bring your own pillow and blanket." With that, she turned and went back to her room.
If not for the dull ache in her back, the little one would have jumped a few times to express her joy!
She excitedly picked up her blanket and headed straight for Auntie Lin's room. At the door, she ran into Xia Xiaozi, who was returning after seeing Zhang Ting off, and happily wished her good night.
Xia Xiaozi stared blankly as Gu Baiye cheerfully carried her blanket into Lin Yuqing's room. What was going on?? She was gone for just a moment, and now these two were going to sleep together??
Even after Gu Baiye went inside, Xia Xiaozi still hadn't processed it. She even secretly pressed her ear to the door to eavesdrop, but there were no strange noises from within.
Still a little worried, Xia Xiaozi knocked on the door. "Qing Jie, is Xiao Ye in your room? I need to talk to her about something."
"Whatever it is can wait until tomorrow. Go to sleep," came Lin Yuqing's impatient voice from inside.
Xia Xiaozi scratched her head. My god, what was happening?
Lin Yuqing paid her no mind. She reluctantly turned up the air conditioner's temperature and dimmed the room's lights.
Gu Baiye lay blissfully on Lin Yuqing's large bed. It was so soft and comfortable; she felt like she was sinking into it and didn't want to move at all. "Good night, Auntie Lin!"
"Mm," Lin Yuqing replied, having already closed her eyes to rest.
Gu Baiye reached for the switch on the headboard and turned off the light. Hearing the click, Lin Yuqing opened her eyes. "Hm? Aren't you afraid of the dark?"
"I'm not afraid when you're here." Gu Baiye smiled sweetly, turned on her side, and closed her eyes for a moment to adjust to the darkness. When she opened them again, she could vaguely make out Auntie Lin's beautiful profile.
"Go to sleep."
"Mm," Gu Baiye answered, but she didn't close her eyes. Instead, she secretly watched Lin Yuqing.
She had never imagined that she could lie so openly beside Auntie Lin, quietly watching her sleep. It was like a dream that was all too real.
Auntie Lin's face truly had a magical effect. Just looking at her made the pain in her body disappear!
After watching for a while, Gu Baiye sensed that Lin Yuqing's breathing had become steady, as if she had fallen asleep. An even bolder idea couldn't help but pop into her head.
Very, very gently, she scooted closer to Lin Yuqing. She would move a tiny bit, then stop, holding her breath to listen to the rhythm of Auntie Lin's breathing. By the time she finally made it to Lin Yuqing's side, the little one was covered in sweat!
She lay there obediently for a while, her own breathing unconsciously becoming extremely light and slow.
Seeing that Auntie Lin hadn't moved at all and must be sound asleep, Gu Baiye grew bolder.
Looking at Auntie Lin's perfect profile, so close she could almost touch it, Gu Baiye propped herself up slightly and cautiously moved closer. As she neared Auntie Lin's cheek, she puckered her lips just a little, and they just barely brushed against Auntie Lin's soft skin!
