DDT - Chapter 37
Chapter 37: School Tyrant × The Pushover (14)
Chi Junluo walked out of the classroom door, paused to think, and instead of heading straight for the teachers' office, she changed direction and went toward Yi Shuhan's class.
On the way, Chi Junluo gathered a few of her lackeys to go with her to Yi Shuhan's classroom.
The students of the honors class saw the school's fearsome tyrant, Chi Junluo, heading toward their classroom from a distance. Terrified, they all scurried back to their seats, shrinking down and not daring to breathe too loudly.
Chi Junluo walked at a brisk pace, and in no time, she and her lackeys arrived at Yi Shuhan's class. Without hesitation, she strode brazenly into the honors classroom.
Chi Junluo saw that the classroom was silent, with everyone keeping their heads down, pretending to be busy. She approached the seat of a boy in the first row near the door and asked with a cold expression, "Hey, classmate. Do you know who went and told the teacher that Yi Shuhan stole the money?"
The boy was small and skinny, looking like the type who was often bullied by both boys and girls.
"I... I don't know..." the boy said timidly. If it weren't for his darting eyes, Chi Junluo might have actually believed him.
"I'll ask you one more time. Who went and snitched?" Chi Junluo rapped her knuckles on the boy's desk, and an immense pressure washed over him.
The boy trembled with fear. He had been bullied by his classmates far too often, especially by Wang Yun and her group of girls. If he spoke up today, he would definitely suffer for it later. But if he didn't, he thought of Yi Shuhan, who was also being bullied, and felt a sense of shared misery. He felt that he and Yi Shuhan were on the same side, both targets of bullying. If he stayed silent, he was afraid Yi Shuhan's reputation would be utterly ruined today.
The boy knew the truth. He had silently witnessed the entire incident unfold. He knew exactly what kind of person Yi Shuhan was; she would never steal the class funds. Yi Shuhan's family was well-off; she couldn't possibly be short on money.
Now, seeing the school's one and only tyrant standing before him, it seemed she had heard something and come for Yi Shuhan's sake. She must be here to help her!
Although the boy didn't know when Yi Shuhan had gotten involved with the School Tyrant, it was clear that at this critical moment, this tyrant might actually be able to save Yi Shuhan from her dire situation.
If the School Tyrant dealt with Wang Yun and her friends, maybe he could live his life in peace from now on!
As the boy thought about it, a glimmer of hope appeared in his eyes. He lifted his head, mustered his courage, and said, "It was Wang Yun and her gang who went to snitch! Yi Shuhan would never steal the class funds. Wang Yun and the others must have framed her!"
Wang Yun? The name sounded familiar. Chi Junluo frowned slightly. Then she heard the boy in front of her continue, "Wang Yun and her friends have been bullying classmates since our first year, and Yi Shuhan gets it the worst. I don't know what set them off this time, but they're making trouble for her again. The headteacher is really fierce. He even hit Yi Shuhan on the head just now."
As the boy spoke, he carefully watched Chi Junluo's expression. He could clearly see anger gradually spreading across her face.
The boy thought to himself that he had made the right bet. It seemed Yi Shuhan held a significant place in Chi Junluo's heart. This time, he might have a chance to use the School Tyrant's power to take down that bitch Wang Yun once and for all!
"They said the class funds went missing after gym class, right?" Chi Junluo tapped the desk again with her right hand.
"That's right. Our last class was gym, and the funds were just collected this morning," the boy answered Chi Junluo's question carefully.
Chi Junluo recalled what her lackey had said on the phone—that those girls had framed the heroine for buying a new phone with the class funds. She couldn't help but sneer. A bunch of brainless girls who couldn't even come up with a decent lie.
"Where are those girls' schoolbags?" Chi Junluo tilted her head at the boy, signaling for him to hurry up and tell her.
The boy quickly pointed out the seats belonging to Wang Yun and her friends. Without waiting for Chi Junluo's command, her lackeys moved with practiced coordination, stepping forward to grab the girls' bags.
The remaining students in the class were secretly watching to see how things would unfold. Coincidentally, Wang Yun's gang had all gone to the office to act as witnesses, and none of the other students dared to interfere with Chi Junluo's business.
With no one to stop them, the lackeys easily retrieved the bags.
Chi Junluo started with Wang Yun's bag. After a thorough search, she felt a thick kraft paper envelope in a hidden compartment. She pulled it out and saw the class name and number of students written on it. Chi Junluo tore open the envelope, revealing a thick stack of hundred-yuan bills.
The boy and the other students who were secretly watching stared wide-eyed. They never expected that after Wang Yun and the class president had teamed up to accuse someone of stealing the class funds, the money would be found in Wang Yun's own bag!
The students let out gasps of gossip-fueled excitement!
The boy's eyes gleamed with excitement. Now there was going to be a good show!
Chi Junluo didn't seal the envelope, letting the thick stack of bills remain half-exposed. She tossed the class funds back into Wang Yun's bag without zipping it up, then threw the bag to a lackey to hold. She then strode out of the honors classroom and headed for the office. Naturally, the boy didn't want to miss the upcoming drama and followed right behind her. The other students exchanged glances, their gossip-loving instincts taking over, and they all swarmed after Chi Junluo toward the office.
Along the way, students who had been about to disperse saw the rarely-seen School Tyrant first lead her people to the honors class and then head toward the office, followed by a huge wave of onlookers. Their curiosity was piqued. Could there be a twist in today's theft incident???
And so, Chi Junluo walked ahead with a stern face, followed by a long train of gawking spectators.
In the office, Yi Shuhan was trying desperately to hold it in, but the more she thought about it, the more wronged she felt, and the more she felt wronged, the more she felt the sting in her nose, on the verge of tears.
"What are you crying for? I'm going to call your parents and let them see what kind of trash they raised!" Headteacher Jiang couldn't stand seeing girls cry and finally brought up her parents.
"I bet your family is no good either. Like parents, like child. A whole family of ill-mannered little wenches." Teacher Jiang grew more animated as he cursed, even feeling an indescribable sense of pleasure!
"Since ancient times, there has been such a thing as professional ethics for teachers. I suppose Teacher Jiang's family must not have much of an upbringing either. What kind of good person has foul language on their lips all day?" Just when everyone could barely stand to listen or watch any longer, a crisp, pleasant voice came from the office doorway. At least, to Yi Shuhan's ears, it was crisp and pleasant. Chi Junluo was here!
"Of course, we can't expect Teacher Jiang to speak properly. After all, a dog's mouth can't spit out ivory." Chi Junluo crossed her arms and leaned casually against the office doorway, which her lackeys had already cleared, uttering words that were incredibly grating to Headteacher Jiang's ears.
Wang Yun and her friends, who had been standing aside enjoying the show and watching things develop exactly as they'd hoped, were stunned. The School Tyrant, Chi Junluo! She had appeared on the scene yet again!
Wang Yun and the others turned their heads in disbelief. When they saw the mocking look in Chi Junluo's eyes, their legs went weak, and they nearly collapsed to their knees.
When Teacher Jiang heard what Chi Junluo said, he flew into a rage and immediately started cursing, "Who the hell is this little bitch?! Believe it or not, I'll fucking expel you today!"
Chi Junluo wasn't the least bit flustered. "Expel me? You don't call the shots at this school. Who do you think you are? Just an ordinary headteacher. You think I'm afraid of you?"
"I'm telling you, I, Jiang Shiqing, call the shots at this school! I'll expel whoever I want!" The headteacher was on the verge of losing all reason and began to speak recklessly.
"Xiao Bai, did you record all that?" Chi Junluo asked the lackey behind her.
"Sister Chi, got it all recorded," Xiao Bai nodded.
"You don't need to record the rest," Chi Junluo said with a wave of her hand.
"Got it!" Xiao Bai obediently put his phone away.
Teacher Jiang was completely bewildered: ???
"Don't be in such a hurry, Teacher Jiang. I'll send a copy of that video to the principal. As for the video of you senselessly beating a female student without knowing the facts, I'll package that up and send it to the Education Bureau. And as for the police station... whether I give them the video and file a report, well, you'll have to beg me." Chi Junluo laid out her points one by one in a calm, deliberate manner, her arms still crossed.
"Go, go, what does a little kid like you know? Get the hell out of my office! I need to deal with this dog thief who brazenly stole class funds to buy a phone!" Teacher Jiang felt a little unnerved but didn't take it to heart. In his eyes, although this girl was a bit tall, she posed no threat to him. How could a grown man like him be intimidated by a few words from a brat? Where would he put his pride?
Chi Junluo glanced at the brand-new phone on the floor with its cracked corner, then looked with heartache at the heroine, whose eyes were red from crying. Her brow furrowed again. "Xiao Bai, dump everything out of Wang Yun's bag. Put it all on the floor." Chi Junluo patted Xiao Bai's broad shoulder.
Xiao Bai nodded and took the pink schoolbag from another lackey. The moment Wang Yun saw the bag, she was so frightened she collapsed onto the floor. Her friends beside her also stumbled backward in fear.
The other teachers in the office watched this scene with curiosity. Then, they saw a pile of books and a kraft paper envelope stuffed with a thick wad of hundred-yuan bills slide out of the pink schoolbag!
Teacher Jiang was stunned. All the teachers were stunned. So, after all that lecturing, Jiang Shiqing had been berating an innocent person???
In an instant, Teacher Jiang felt his face burn with shame.
But for the sake of his so-called male pride, he stiffened his neck and said, "This... what does this prove?!"
"Teacher Jiang, are you blind? The class funds, every last cent, were hidden in Wang Yun's bag. She framed her own classmate, and you assaulted your student without even investigating the facts. Are you even human?" Chi Junluo's sarcastic tone stabbed at Teacher Jiang's heart. Headteacher Jiang was so angry he was speechless.
Chi Junluo walked forward and gently pulled Yi Shuhan into her arms. She softly patted Yi Shuhan's shoulder, comforting her for a moment.
Then, Chi Junluo looked up and sized up the still-dazed Jiang Shiqing. "Now, we should discuss the matter of compensation for classmate Yi Shuhan's phone. Oh, and also the matter of Wang Yun framing her classmate and hiding the class funds. We should settle these accounts properly. We can't just let this slide, can we?"
