ORCBRB – Chapter 77
Chapter 77
It was half an hour later when Jian Cenyu returned from Jian Zhihuan's CEO office.
Secretary Gu, who should have already left for the day, was still alone in the open-plan secretarial office. She immediately came over upon seeing Jian Cenyu. “Junior CEO Jian.”
Jian Cenyu turned her head. “Is there something else?”
Secretary Gu pointed toward Jian Cenyu’s office. “Miss Sang from Shengyu Corporation is here. You gave special instructions last time, so she’s waiting in your office now.”
Secretary Gu knew that Jian Cenyu and Sang Shi'an had a good relationship. Coupled with the Sang family's status, she didn't dare to be negligent and took it upon herself to lead the person into Jian Cenyu's office.
Before Jian Cenyu returned, Secretary Gu had been on edge. After all, there were many documents regarding Jian Corporation's upcoming plans in the office.
But asking Sang Shi'an to come out again would probably offend both parties.
Jian Cenyu's expression showed a hint of surprise, but no displeasure. She glanced toward her office, and her tone softened. “I understand. You probably haven't had dinner yet. Go ahead and get off work.”
Secretary Gu’s anxious heart finally settled. As she packed up to leave, Jian Cenyu opened her office door. Through the crack, she saw Miss Sang smiling and waving.
They have such a good relationship, she thought.
On the other side, the moment the office door closed, Sang Shi'an threw herself at Jian Cenyu. “Surprise!”
Jian Cenyu opened her arms, taking a step back to steady herself as she hugged Sang Shi'an. Her voice carried a smile. “Weren't you at the awards ceremony at the University of Finance and Economics?”
Sang Shi'an nuzzled Jian Cenyu’s shoulder, taking a deep breath of the familiar, cool, woody scent. “It’s a team competition, so it doesn’t matter if I’m not there. I haven’t had a proper conversation with you in so many days. Can’t I skip an awards ceremony to see my girlfriend?”
They had both been busy these past few days. Although they slept in the same bed, they had almost no interaction. By the time Jian Cenyu finished her work, Sang Shi'an would already be too exhausted to stay awake and would have fallen asleep. When Sang Shi'an woke up early for competition training, Jian Cenyu would still be asleep.
The moment their eyes met, it was unclear who initiated it, but they were locked in a passionate kiss.
Having not been kissed so forcefully for several days, the base of Sang Shi'an's tongue, now entangled, felt sore. The documents on the desk rustled as the warm air from the heater blew over them, a faint sound that was soon masked by another, more secretive and ambiguous noise, making the tips of Sang Shi'an's ears burn.
Taking a moment to catch her breath, Sang Shi'an turned her head slightly, her voice barely steady. “...I just wanted to come and see you. You can keep working overtime, don't mind me.”
Jian Cenyu caressed Sang Shi'an's face, unable to put her down. Her voice was laced with a smile. “Is just looking enough?”
With every word she spoke, she moved closer, until her lips were on Sang Shi'an's again, carrying a certain temptation. “What should I do? It’s so hot.”
Her voice was moist and restrained.
But the body heat pressing against her was a blatant declaration of her needs.
Sang Shi'an shifted her leg slightly; she wasn't feeling very comfortable either. But after being lectured by Sang Shiyue, she had been extremely cautious recently. At this moment, reason prevailed, and she pushed Jian Cenyu away. “This is your office.”
Jian Cenyu said nothing and walked straight to the office door.
Her long, fair fingers fiddled with the lock, and the click of it locking was exceptionally crisp.
Before Sang Shi'an could react, Jian Cenyu grabbed her by the waist from behind, pulling her into an embrace. A thin layer of sweat had already formed under her soft sweater.
“I already said this is an office,” Sang Shi'an warned Jian Cenyu.
Jian Cenyu's moist voice sounded somewhat aggrieved. “The stock market issue is resolved, the employees have all gone home, and I have no work tonight.”
Sang Shi'an's principles were easily swayed by a pretty face, and as expected, her heart softened.
“Didn't your mother want you to intern at Jian Corporation? Shouldn't you familiarize yourself with the office environment in advance?” Jian Cenyu continued to entice her, whispering in her ear. Strands of her hair fell wantonly into Sang Shi'an's collar, teasing her, holding her tight and not letting her escape.
Sang Shi'an's heart pounded wildly. By the time she realized she couldn't escape, it was too late. “Who gets familiar with a work environment like this?”
Junior CEO Jian's hand slipped to Sang Shi'an's waist as she declared, “I do.”
Sang Shi'an tried to speak, but the moment she opened her mouth, Jian Cenyu cupped her face and licked her way in for a kiss. It was unclear whether Jian Cenyu's breath was too scorching or if Sang Shi'an willingly opened her mouth, but she offered no resistance, allowing Jian Cenyu to do as she pleased, easily pressing her down onto the desk.
After her sweater was rolled up, the hard desk made her back ache, and her lips were a watery red.
Just then, a knock came from outside. “Cenyu? Are you still in there?”
Sang Shi'an instantly snapped back to her senses.
It wasn't just her; even Jian Cenyu's hand froze.
It was Jian Cenyu's aunt, Jian Zhiyan.
Sang Shi'an struggled to pull away a little. It was too late to fix her clothes now. Her eyes were filled with panic. “Is that Professor Jian? We can't let her find out…”
Jian Zhiyan must have heard that Jian Zhihuan and Jian Zhenyang had returned to the company today and had come over to check on the situation.
The curtains in Jian Cenyu's office were drawn, but from outside the building, one could easily see that the lights were on.
Before Sang Shi'an could finish her sentence, Jian Cenyu, far from holding back, sealed Sang Shi'an's words with her lips again, becoming even more audacious.
The knocking paused, and Jian Cenyu's phone rang, sounding exceptionally loud in the quiet office. With only a door separating them, Sang Shi'an didn't know how soundproof Jian Corporation's offices were and held her breath in fear.
Jian Cenyu, however, looked perfectly calm as she parted Sang Shi'an's legs. While answering the phone, she made a shushing gesture to Sang Shi'an. “Auntie? Yes, I'm in the office. Something came up with the lab in Australia, so I'm on a video call with them.”
Jian Cenyu's hand moved down, feeling the warm skin gradually heat up. They had been apart for a long time, and Sang Shi'an had become much less accustomed to it. The moment Jian Cenyu started rubbing her, she trembled violently and bit down hard on her own wrist.
Jian Cenyu smiled silently, lowered her head, and her hand moved to press down Sang Shi'an's right leg. Sensing her intention, Sang Shi'an immediately brought her left leg over, not giving Jian Cenyu any chance to bully her.
On the phone, Jian Zhiyan's voice continued, asking about the progress of the Australian lab.
Jian Cenyu frowned slightly. Because one hand was holding the phone, she couldn't use both hands to pin down Sang Shi'an's legs. Her movements abruptly ceased, and Sang Shi'an smiled triumphantly.
Jian Cenyu pinched Sang Shi'an, who smiled silently, wrapped her arms around Jian Cenyu's neck, and pulled her down, panting very softly in her ear and nibbling gently.
She made no sound, but the moist, hot breaths from her mouth couldn't be stopped. Jian Cenyu's whole body tensed from her panting, and she gave her a warning look.
Feeling fearless, Sang Shi'an stuck out her tongue and curled it around Jian Cenyu's ear.
The next second, Jian Cenyu quickly said into the phone, “Auntie, there are other things here in Australia. I have to go.”
Before Sang Shi'an could pull back, she felt a weight on her leg. Jian Cenyu easily pinned her down, lowered her head, and her warm breath sprayed across her skin, ticklish and tingling, making Sang Shi'an tremble uncontrollably.
As punishment for her actions.
She was bitten.
Tears welled up in Sang Shi'an's eyes, and her slender waist tensed up, as if she were actively offering herself up, which only made it more convenient for Jian Cenyu.
After a long while of torment, the corners of Sang Shi'an's eyes were red, and her breathing was ragged. Looking at Jian Cenyu, who still looked impeccably dressed, Sang Shi'an found the contrast unbearable and kicked her. “Are you going to do it or not?”
Jian Cenyu's fingertip suddenly pressed down hard. Sang Shi'an bit her lip tightly, her eyes vacant for nearly a minute before she recovered.
Jian Cenyu waited patiently and asked in a soft voice, “What did you just say?”
“Don't use your hand, and don't use your mouth,” Sang Shi'an's voice was hoarse and trembling. Her hands and mouth were too nimble; it was a bit much for her. Sang Shi'an tugged unhappily at Jian Cenyu's long hair. “Do it yourself.”
Jian Cenyu stared at her and slowly smiled. “So An'an was worried about her Jiejie?”
Sang Shi'an tugged again, urging, “Take off your clothes. I want you to hold me.”
She looked up at Jian Cenyu, the tip of her nose under her reddened eyes was also flushed, and her lips bore a fleeting tooth mark, like a flower that had been crushed, its fragrance spilling everywhere.
But what happened next was a little different from what Sang Shi'an had imagined. When Jian Cenyu held her and ground against her, she was exceptionally gentle. Every gentle movement seemed to be suppressing something with great effort.
Just when Sang Shi'an thought Jian Cenyu would break through her composure in the next moment, Jian Cenyu would instead bite back a gasp, stop, kiss her for a while, and then continue.
Sang Shi'an was left hanging, feeling a distinct sense of conflict from Jian Cenyu for the first time.
She even found herself actively hoping that Jian Cenyu would go wild in the next second.
But it didn't happen. Until the very end, Jian Cenyu remained as gentle as water. As they slowly descended from the clouds, their sweaty skin and racing heartbeats found solace.
But it was far from enough.
Outside the window, a full moon hung high in the sky. Jian Cenyu took out some tissues to clean them both up, while Sang Shi'an instinctively helped Jian Cenyu button her shirt.
The office was quiet, the lingering ambiguity flowing silently through the air. Sang Shi'an picked up her bag and suggested, “Go for dinner?”
Jian Cenyu replied with a “Okay,” then called out to Sang Shi'an again.
She selected a lipstick from the drawer that matched Sang Shi'an's clothes and helped the pretty kitty touch up her makeup.
Sang Shi'an tilted her chin up cooperatively, her voice muffled. “Have you been very tired these past few days?”
Jian Cenyu gently blended the color with her fingertip and looked up. “Why do you ask?”
“Just now, you were so... um... you know,” Sang Shi'an mumbled a string of emotive particles that she herself didn't understand.
Jian Cenyu sensed there was more to Sang Shi'an's words. She capped the lipstick and suddenly leaned in, trapping Sang Shi'an against the desk again. “Speak properly.”
The not-yet-dissipated heat pressed against her. Sang Shi'an's ears burned as she said in a small voice, “You were so gentle just now, I'm not used to it.”
Jian Cenyu paused for a moment, then chuckled softly. “These past few days, your brother has contacted me several times because of Jian Zhenyang's stock market manipulations. Ostensibly, he was concerned because of our partnership, but it was actually all because of you.”
Jian Cenyu wrapped her arms around Sang Shi'an's waist, deliberately positioning herself as if she were nestling into Sang Shi'an's embrace due to their proximity. “Your family has raised you so well. I feel I should be even better to you, An'an.”
Hearing Jian Cenyu call her name in that cool, clear tone, Sang Shi'an couldn't stop her ears from burning. “You're already very good to me.”
Could it be that the "good" Jian Cenyu was talking about meant she would be this lukewarm from now on?
Someone used to feasting on delicacies would never get used to plain boiled soup.
Being busy at the company for half a month was like going on a spiritual retreat at a temple for half a month. It was unbelievable.
Sang Shi'an looked at the formal suit on Jian Cenyu and suddenly found it an eyesore. She started picking a fight. “About that internship here we talked about before, let's just forget it.”
Jian Cenyu frowned slightly but didn't show any displeasure. “That's fine. Your brother should be more at ease that way. Jian Corporation will probably be very chaotic for a while, so it's indeed not particularly suitable for an internship.”
Sang Shi'an: ...
The internship was her mother's idea. If she suddenly didn't go, how would she explain it at home? By saying she was dating Jian Cenyu and needed to avoid suspicion?
“Do you really think I'm coming to Jian Corporation to learn things? If I wanted to learn about company operations, wouldn't it be more convenient to learn at Shengyu?” Sang Shi'an said sarcastically. “I'm afraid your Jian Corporation has a virus, the kind that would make me become a nun if I stayed a few more days.”
Jian Cenyu didn't speak, but the corners of her lips curved up, as if she had chuckled. “You misunderstood. When I said I was reflecting, I was reflecting on my own work abilities. As for just now…”
Jian Cenyu bit Sang Shi'an's ear. “You had lunch at eleven-thirty. Five hours had passed by the time you came to Jian Corporation. I was afraid you'd be too hungry to bear it.”
Sang Shi'an: ...
Jian Cenyu took Sang Shi'an's hand, pulled her back into her arms, and gave her a kiss. “After we eat, how about I make it up to you at home?”
After Sang Shi'an clearly heard Jian Cenyu's words, her face turned red again.
To make up for Sang Shi'an's dissatisfaction, Jian Cenyu was exceptionally enthusiastic when they got home.
So much so that the next morning, when Jian Cenyu dug Sang Shi'an out from under the covers, Sang Shi'an couldn't even open her eyes and could only make a very difficult, faint sound.
“Mmm... no... so sleepy... want to sleep, want to sleep...”
Jian Cenyu thought about it. It was a rare winter break with no classes. If Sang Shi'an really didn't want to get up, it wouldn't matter if she reported to Jian Corporation in the afternoon every day.
If she wanted to sleep, then let her sleep.
She kissed Sang Shi'an's hair and said softly, “Okay.”
Jian Cenyu went to the bathroom in the living room to wash up. The bedroom became quiet again. Sang Shi'an rolled over comfortably, thinking: Finally, no one is bothering me.
However—
Why would Jian Cenyu wake her up this morning? Wasn't she on vacation?
Wait.
Last night, she seemed to have agreed to intern at Jian Corporation again.
An internship, well, missing the morning is no big deal. It just means missing Junior CEO Jian in her sharp suit, sitting at the center of the conference room, commanding the room with a condescending attitude and a cool, composed tone, and incidentally, missing the opportunity to sit by Jian Cenyu's side as her rightful secretary, being scrutinized and envied by others.
What's there to care about?
No one would be willing to wake up early in the morning for an internship.
—Except her.
“Cenyu Jiejie, wait for me!” Sang Shi'an sat up and shouted toward the outside of the room.
When she needed something, she was willing to obediently call her Jiejie.
Sure enough, Jian Cenyu pushed the door open three seconds later. “Planning to go to the company with me?”
Sang Shi'an pushed her luck, opening her arms. “Can't get up. Need a hug.”
Jian Cenyu's lips curved. She wrapped her arms around Sang Shi'an's waist and pulled her out of bed like a radish.
“Ah, hiss.”
Sang Shi'an flinched and suddenly let out a cry of pain.
Jian Cenyu thought she had squeezed a bone too hard while hugging her and quickly let go. “Where does it hurt?”
Sang Shi'an hesitated. “...It's nothing.”
Seeing that Sang Shi'an didn't reach out to rub anywhere, Jian Cenyu figured it wasn't a bone she had hurt, but rather that she was deliberately hiding something.
Jian Cenyu looked at Sang Shi'an thoughtfully. “Is your stomach hurting again?”
“No.” That last time was just to trick Sang Shiyue; her stomach was perfectly fine.
Jian Cenyu's hand came up and pressed gently on Sang Shi'an's stomach a couple of times, as if to confirm. “Really?”
“Mmm—” Sang Shi'an couldn't help but let out another sound.
Jian Cenyu's expression turned serious. She helped Sang Shi'an sit back on the bed. “I'll make a call to postpone this morning's regular meeting. I'll take you to the hospital for a proper check-up later.”
Seeing that Jian Cenyu was taking it seriously, Sang Shi'an quickly grabbed her hand. “No, my stomach really doesn't hurt.”
Jian Cenyu was clearly unconvinced.
The thought of a check-up possibly involving lifting her shirt made Sang Shi'an's face change colors several times. Finally, she lifted her shirt and said through gritted teeth, “My chest hurts! My chest hurts!”
Jian Cenyu's breath hitched as she looked at the scene before her.
There were a few faint red marks on her fair abdomen, but they paled in comparison to the marks on her chest. Like two fully ripened, fresh fruits, they trembled delicately on her slender body, looking particularly alluring. After a night of fermentation, they even seemed to have grown a size.
No wonder she cried out in pain even while wearing such soft pajamas.
Jian Cenyu's conscience kicked in, and she did some serious self-reflection.
Sang Shi'an pointed angrily at her own chest. “I told you not to bite, not to suck! And you call yourself half a medical student! Don't you have any physiological knowledge? I'm not pregnant, so it's not like they'll produce…”
Sang Shi'an was furious and terribly embarrassed, her tone both fierce and coquettish. When she lifted her clothes and the cool air hit her skin, she felt uncomfortable again, so she didn't notice Jian Cenyu's gaze growing deeper and deeper.
The moment Sang Shi'an was about to let go of her clothes, Jian Cenyu suddenly pressed her hand down and kissed the injured area.
Sang Shi'an screamed in shock, her tone twisting before immediately turning into a soft moan. She was both angry and enjoying it. “Jian Cenyu, I hate you so much! You just wait, tonight I'll definitely make you feel this too!”
Jian Cenyu licked and kissed her gently, holding Sang Shi'an tighter and tighter until she could no longer curse.
Nearly ten minutes later, Jian Cenyu brought a face towel dampened with warm water and gently wiped Sang Shi'an clean. Then she handed her two adhesive bandages. “It might be uncomfortable to wear a bra directly. Do you want to put these on?”
Sang Shi'an snatched the bandages and stuck one on Jian Cenyu's mouth. “I think you're the one who needs a bandage.”
Having done wrong, Jian Cenyu let her scold and stick as she pleased. Even after Sang Shi'an had washed up and changed, she didn't peel the bandage off.
As they were about to leave, Sang Shi'an glanced awkwardly at the very conspicuous bandage and asked, “You're not taking it off?”
Jian Cenyu shook her head and typed a line on her phone.
Sang Shi'an's WeChat lit up: [My girlfriend hasn't given me permission to take it off.]
The girlfriend herself: ...
Since when was Jian Cenyu so obedient?
Last night, when she kept telling her not to suck, she just kept biting. Now she knows how to put on an act?
Sang Shi'an deliberately grabbed one end of the bandage and, without giving Jian Cenyu any time to react, ripped it off forcefully. The skin where the adhesive had been quickly turned red, on either side of her lips, making it very noticeable.
Especially on the face of the ascetic-looking Jian Cenyu in her white suit.
Sang Shi'an couldn't hold it in. After a two-second struggle, she burst out laughing.
“Will that leave a mark? What if it doesn't fade later?” The skin on the face was delicate. The thought of Jian Cenyu going to work with such a tell-tale sign of a secret tryst made Sang Shi'an laugh uncontrollably.
Jian Cenyu said, “It should fade. I've never stuck one on my face before, so I'm not sure.”
Sang Shi'an: “And you still acted so nonchalant.”
So it was all an act.
Hearing this, Jian Cenyu looked at the appeased expression on Sang Shi'an's face and couldn't help but laugh.
In front of Sang Shi'an, she had never truly been nonchalant.
Once in the car, Sang Shi'an continued to lecture her. “Forget it. You deserve to learn a lesson. I just told you not to be as gentle as you were in the office, I didn't tell you to go at me like you were trying to kill me. If anyone asks, just say you have a pollen allergy.”
Jian Cenyu glanced at the flowerless green belt outside in the minus-five-degree weather. “A pollen allergy?”
Sang Shi'an touched her nose. “An allergy to skincare products, then?”
Jian Cenyu suppressed a smile. “Fine. But people at the company probably won't dare to ask me directly. I'll have to trouble Secretary Sang to help explain in a bit.”
Sang Shi'an: ?
So in the end, she was the one who had to be embarrassed?
Before Sang Shi'an could explode again, Jian Cenyu changed the subject. “Should we announce your identity at the company directly? Or do you just want to be an intern?”
“There's no need for a special announcement, right?” The thought of a nepotism hire with a detailed family background suddenly appearing in the Jian Corporation work group chat was suffocating to Sang Shi'an. “Besides, if I don't do well, I can avoid embarrassing Yanjing University and Shengyu.”
Jian Cenyu let out a low laugh and asked, “You're coming into the company with me. Aren't you afraid of embarrassing me?”
Sang Shi'an said sincerely, “Of course I am.”
She added righteously, “But your secretary is so beautiful, doesn't that make you look good too?”
Jian Cenyu gave a short laugh, not commenting, making it unclear whether she agreed or was mocking her.
Sang Shi'an stared at the mostly faded red mark on Jian Cenyu's face for a while, then slowly turned sideways, constrained by her seatbelt.
It was her first time interning at someone else's company. She couldn't think about whether she would be an embarrassment; the more she thought about it, the more nervous she became.
She hadn't even been this nervous while waiting for the competition results.
“An'an.” As the car pulled into the Jian Corporation parking lot, a gentle voice sounded from behind her.
Sang Shi'an fiddled with the seatbelt buckle. “What is it?”
She was about to die from nervousness, could she please not talk to her?
So annoying.
“I love you,” Jian Cenyu said.
Sang Shi'an whipped around, her heart shamelessly skipping a beat.
The bit of irritation in her heart vanished completely. She demurely turned her gaze away. “Why are you suddenly saying that? Isn't it cheesy?”
Jian Cenyu said, “It doesn't matter if you do well or not. I was the one who begged you to come and keep me company.”
Sang Shi'an's face was bright red as she uttered a barely audible, “Mm.”
